greetings to all.. pls this is urgent and only responsible answers are needed right now.. The students of Federal University Of Petroleum Resources Delta state, Effurun are currently facing tough time following the massive hike in students charges (school fees and hostel fees) the fee was allegedly increased from 26k-40k and 10k-50k for school fees and hostel fees respectively and 10k-30k acceptance fees for freshers. As regarding the development the SUG and his TEAM have been on the issue for more than two weeks now trying to reverse the situation to statues quo but the result they've been getting from management is not impressive at all...firstly, the management only deducted #1000 from the new school fees of #40000 and hostel fee was still on dialogue after a massive though peaceful protest from the students. After a long negotiations between the SUG, his team and the school authorities the fee was finally brought to #37000 school fees for old students and #67000 for fresh students while hostel fee is #30000 for all students..acceptance fee remains constant @30k. The SUG was even threatened by the school authorities on further negotiations on this matter as they have made their final decision. I am here on behalf of my dear FUPRE and her students to plead with the students/SUGs from other Federal universities who might have encountered this kind of challenge in the past and were able to conquer it, for their kindly advice on what to do... pls dont mind the typos (boys are vexed up now). ur suggestions are kindly welcomed!! my humble self @Donjcco
