Which other party aside APC or PDP would you vote for if you vote against any of them? Those are the only main parties we have. Except you wish to waste your votes.

^^^
The arrogance of the 'main' parties is clearly on display here and that arrogance needs to be broken down. It isn't your place to say that a vote for any of the other parties is a waste. It is precisely because the mainstream parties have proved to be shockingly incompetent that Nigerians should consider the others.

You all need to be taken down a peg or two. A few years in the political wilderness would tame the sense of entitlement and the arrogance of these so called main parties.

Next month isn't far. We shall see.

From my humble opinion, having party faithfuls is not the same as having party greedy faithfuls that worships money and bribe, from the write up, u can see the amount those men makes from the oil blocks, do u think they will not pay(bribe) all those greedy party faithfuls so as to make sure that bill doesn't see the light of the day? Also some of those so called party faithfuls have stakes in the oil blocks, GEJ can't force them to pass the bill, all he needs to do is to wait for that stipulated time(2016) when those blocks will be re allocated weather the bill is passed or not. Na that time u go know say khaki no be leather.

^^^Let's look at this carefully.

In 2014, GEJ was able to coerce the party faithful into backing his run for his party's presidential nomination. Dissenters were immediately whipped into line and GEJ ran unopposed for the primaries last year. He was able to get this done in the pursuit of narrow, partisan political interests. But he was unable to get his party to promptly pass legislation like the PIB - for the good of all Nigerians. In a legislature with a PDP majority. angry Doesn't that say all that needs to be said?

We are waiting for March...

Well, u might be right, but were u expecting anyone from PDP to contest the primaries with the sitting president? I am not sure weda it is in the party's constitution never to oppose a sitting governor or president, weda wit the support of the party faithfulls @ the national assembly or not, he is still going to emerge as the flag bearer, the question now should be, will he win without their support? This is what we are yet to find out come march 28 2015, so, coercing them or not is not certain yet. But on the issue of PIB bill? That's a personal interest for all the so called party faithfuls involved. We all knew what happened when many of dem decamped to diff pol parties. National(everybody's interest might not see the light of the with personal interest) my 2cents.

All this isn't a game to me.

Misgovernance by our so-called leaders has had, and will continue to have very real consequences for all of us, today and tomorrow. If other Nigerians choose to treat these things casually, then that is their problem, not mine.

I have no fellowship with failure and retrogression, be it at the state or federal level. I have never voted, and will never vote for those who do not have my best interests at heart. No.

Let the Ides of March come forward. We are ready.

No wahala boss!!!

I'm not sure you understand me.

Jonathan HAS already emerged as his party's flagbearer. The point I am making is this: GEJ secured his party nomination by immediately seeing off the admittedly feeble challenge by Mr. Balewa? and another lady, if my memory serves me well. He eventually ran unopposed and became his party's flagbearer.

There is something deeply wrong if GEJ can secure the support of the party faithful to run for president but he cannot secure the support of the party faithful for signature legislation like the PIB. Can you name one executive sponsored bill in the mould of the PIB that has been pushed by this administration and eventually passed into law? These are the issues.

You have answered a key question (perhaps without meaning to) in the last sentence of your post. Why should anyone support a party whose members elevate personal interest above national interest?

The time for talk and promises has long passed. Let March 2015 come.
