I resent the way and manner in which many of the posters on this thread are vilifying soldiers and the Army because of the acts of a few bad apples.

The vast majority of members of our armed forces are brave heros, many of who have died for us in the war against BH and elsewhere. Please single out the thieving Generals and drunk soldiers for insults but celebrate the brave majority of the Soldiers.

May God continue to bless and protect the Soldiers of this great country.

I have noticed how they cannot fight one on one (if need be). Whenever any of them wants to show his so-called 'power', they always run to call for reinforcement - and then they will pack themselves like a bunch of thugs to come and display their foolishness en masse. Even if you want to prove that you are a soldier, why not fight alone one on one like a man and beat the other guy if you can? Why do they always run away to call for reinforcement over petty issues? Useless cowards.

Most of them are just cowardly fools whose only strength lies in the fact that they are legally allowed to carry guns. Without their guns, they are worthless and cannot defeat the average man on the street in a fiist fight.

I was in that beach 2 years ago and something similar happened. Three young soldiers in mufti attempted wooing a girl who came with the boyfriend. The lady responded in a rude way to them and the next thing the soldeirs could say is to slap the girl. The boyfriend came to defend his girl from the so called young guys that happened to be soldiers on mufti unknowingly. he only told them off and question their effrontery to wanting to slap a girl.The three soldiers pounce on him and everybody there could do nothing. No body could do anything because they were soldiers. Even the soldiers at the gate took their side all in the name of Espirit de coup.
As a country we must grow up, question and fight against any form of injustice and oppression. How I wish this case could be investigated and the erring soldiers punished as it will serve as a deterrent to others.

Happy Val. I witnessed something very annoying just about an hour ago at the Sun Tan Beach Badagry. It is the highest level of irresponsibility by some soldiers that were invited to provide security at the beach.
I really don't know what happened but According to my investigation cos I was there live but couldn't snap any picture because I don't want to be shot because most of the soldiers were already drunk and I saw some of them switching their AK 47 from the safety back and front. It was learnt that one soldier in mufti brought his GF and someone tried to dance with her cos so many people were there at the beach not knowing the man in mufti is a soldier and from no where the soldier gave the man a dirty slap which he returned cos he is not in uniform. From there people tried to settle the two adults but he kept saying he will deal with the later.
It was at that stage he ran to the entrance to call other uniformed soldiers at the gate and before you know it they started beating, stabbing the man and his group of friends and also those that were trying to seperate them in the begining.
At that stage they started beating the man like a BH suspect but some women around couldn't take it any longer and they decended on these women and started beating them mercilessly. I have never witnessed that level of uselessness by our soldiers that I have everyday been supporting of on NL and other social medias all these while.( Check all my posts you will testify to it).
Whoever is at the beach today will also testify to all what I am saying, infact many people we shouting and cursing them.
Pls mods do the needful so someone at the top can investigate. The soldiers must be brought to book or taken to sambissa to exercise their prowess in torturing civilians.
Pls is they deny, just arrest any of the staffs of the beach and they will link up with the team of soldiers they invited.

Soldier did what any one of us would have probably done, called for help from his friend. His friend just happened to be bad mofos with weapons. It's heading up to be a bad day over there.

Silly girls then proceeded to interfere where a Man was getting his comeuppance from allegedly drunk soldiers - not a good outcome to come out of that.

To those requesting for pictures of what happen,I am confirming to you that the report is true.I was there at the beach and I heard one of the soldiers telling his colleague that hope he has broken the phone of that person snapping them.as the fight was going on,the soldier man has already inserted a knife at the edge of his riffle.a lady was even fighting with one of them at the gate.but I drove off at 7:05pm so don't know what happened after.
