Obasanjo ruled for 8yrs and handed-over to Yar Ardua, through whom GEJ became President.

Now, as far as Government is concerned, Obasanjo HAS NO BUSINESS in this elections beyond that of his ONE VOTE.

If you notice, OBJ has been QUIET for a long time, so has been IBB and even the Church leaders like Oledepo and Adeboye.

[size=18pt]But when election was a few weeks away, it was JONATHAN THAT STARTED JUNKETING FROM ONE Onii of Ife, to another Adeboye/Oledepo, ...and he eventually ended-up GOING TO BEG OBASANJO TO SUPPORT HIS THIRD TERM![/size]

Like they say, "you are servant to that which you revere"!

If Jonathan himself did not go to OBJ's Hilltop mansion to beg him (and OBJ even invited Oledepo and Adeboye to bear witness), we would not be talking about the "relevance" of OBJ in the current elections, bearing in mind that he has only one vote.
Jonathan has made us aware that "he thinks OBJ is so relevant that "OBJ's WORD" could sway the whole votes of the South West, in Jonathan's favor".

Jonathan expected OBJ to be another sycophant parroting his failed re-election but we al know OBJ now, ......and he is a Yoruba man who does not call a Spade, a Spoon!

OBJ if we remember, single-handedly installed Jonathan (By insisting he must be Yar Ardua's Vice President in 2007 and by insisting Jonathan must be installed as President, after Yar ardua's death in 2009 ..and finally by encouraging Yorubas to vote for him in 2011). At that Council of State meeting, OBJ was the one who took a "shivering-Jonathan's hand" and asked him to SIT ON THE PRESIDO's SEAT, .....Nothing go do-you........and that was how he sat, in 2009!

These are FACTS that even an ungrateful, back-stabbing Jonathan or any Nigerian, including you "Yiibos" that are abusing Yorubas now, cant deny! In doing all these for Jonathan, OBJ never considered that Ebele was Azikiwe and therefore Igbo ...and therefore "not fit' for the seat.

Thus, when you (Yiibos) accuse Yoruba of not wanting Jonathan back because "he is Igbo", you expose your own innate tribalism and foolishness.
OBJ has always been Yoruba and will forever be, just like the millions of Yorubas who put their lives on the line in 2009, to ensure that "Turai and her Kitchen-Cabal" did not push-over a whimpering Jonathan.... (who could not even dare sit on the Presidents chair, in his post Yar Ardua speech!) .....and prevent him from assuming that President's position.
From Pastor Bakare, to Wole Soyinka to the millions Yorubas at Ojota, freedom Square, Abuja, e.t.c, we all rallied behind Jonathan ...
...because YORUBAS ARE DYNAMIC AND ALWAYS STAND FOR THE TRUTH, IRRESPECTIVE OF WHOSE HORSE IS GORGED!

So, if you say/think "OBJ does not matter or OBJ is a common Nigerian or OBJ should leave Jonathan alone" ... then you are saying Jonathan is "very foolish and Un-Presidential" for going to beg for his support, all the way in Abeokuta !

Most Nigerians dont have a good sense of their history or suffer collective amnesia.
Jonathan is an "Ingrate who bites the finger that fed him". Categorically, if not for the likes of OBJ, in particular OBJ, Jonathan can NEVER smell where he is today.
Like Saul, Jonathan remains REJECTED .... no matter the "machinations he is engineering right now"; It is medicine after death.

But lets wait till elections are over and Jonathan "wins"... Only then can we say or see whether OBJ is still relevant or not.

For now, Baba Iyabo has simply, publicly showed his DISPLEASURE with the current charade going on in the PDP he helped create, back then.
He has said he is not supporting any party for now (but we know by his current action, that he is a mile away from PDP) and wants to remain a "one-man battalion"!

Under the watchful eyes of GEJ the PDP have lost the speaker of the house of rep ,5 sitting governors as well as eminent personalities in the party and now they finally lost OBJ Jonathan needs to look at his style of leadership .

OBJ has all rights to criticise GEJ he brought him to limelight,if not for him GEJ would have been minding another business in otueke.
GEJ knew his relevance that's why he sent different groups to beg him and even went with along with 2 known pastors,so what are talking about? .So you want him to sit on the fence? I think he is too involved to keep quiet now.

What was the state of the economy when GEJ assumed power in 2010 and what's it now,it is absolute failure, what was our foreign reserve and debt in 2010 and what are they now,the capacity of our 4 oil refinery in 2010 was at 20% it's below that now,power generation output in 2010 was at 4k MW it's below that now just to name few.

The likes of Abati are disappointments. He sold his conscience for the gains this world,I vividly remember him when he was an editor for a newsprint a good social commentator now he lost it all .
You guys should mind your choice of words on elder state men like OBJ, it is said that what an elderly person sees sitting down even if a child climbs a tree, he/she will not see it.

Don't forget that democracy which they enjoy its dividend today in Aso Rock is courtesy of OBJ. it is a known fact that OBJ understands better than you and the games that these politicians play to have their way and fulfill their selfish desires, so when people like OBJ speak, the best we could do if we sincerely want to learn is to listen and get something out of their words of wisdom.

Again, if we don't want to be sentimental about issues, the truth remains that GEJ administration has nothing to write home about after 6years in terms of economic development and stability, power supply, education,security, corruption etc
