OBASANJO : Will PDP Miss Him? by PhockPhockMan(op): 5:48pm On Feb 16, 2015
After PDP members rescued, polished and made him president in 1999, chief Olusegun Obasanjo has never done anything positive to position the party for the future. Infact, he nearly destroyed the party by his bad governance. He's so selfish that he believes that anything that's not under his control should be pulled down. After his fruitless eight years as President, he decided to drag the party to an inglorious 3rd TERM bid. After that one failed, he changed the party constitution to make himself the party’s BOT chairman for life.
He resigned his position when it became obvious that the party want to reposition itself.
Since then, Obasanjo became virus in the body of PDP in general and Jonathan in particular. He kept setting confusion everywhere, from Lamido and Amaechi ticket to his secret involvement in the formation of newPDP which later joined APC. Despite all these, he continued to be an electoral liability to the party, under his leadership of South West PDP, little ACN led by Tinubu won everything including his state, Ogun State.
Today, his body has left the party to where his heart has been.

WILL PDP MISS OBASANJO's DEPARTURE?

PDP is already missing him.

He was the main PDP link to the SouthWest now he is gone.

ALl the PDP has in the SW are now discredited individuals like Koro, FFK, Fayose, Kashamu, Folarin and Agbaje

This OBJ issue is really paining the PDP.

After PDP governors went to Abeokuta to beg him, he still dumped them It must really suck to be PDP right now

ABUJA—National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Adamu Muazu literally went on his knees yesterday, saying that the party has offended former President Olusegun Obasanjo and asked that he should, as a father forgive the entire stakeholders, leaders, Elders and members of the party.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo
Speaking yesterday at Wadata Plaza, PDP National Secretariat, Abuja, when he received the former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel back to the family of PDP, Muazu admitted that mistakes were made in the past and Obasanjo should come and lead the party, adding that the leader of the party, President Goodluck Jonathan was also waiting eagerly for him to come back to the party.

Jonathan calls everybody his father. Your question should be: Will the increasingly alienated Jona boy miss Baba Iyabo?
Your guess is as good as mine.

You're not expected to understand this, but Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is the last of the Mohicans as far as the PDP is concerned.

Of course yes.....every membership lost diminishes a party...not to talk of a prominent and influential person like OBJ.

But under his leadership of South West PDP, the party lost everything. He's leaving the party with no serving official.

OBASANJO WILL NOT BE MISSED.

TONY ANENIH

Following the public tearing to shred by former President Olusegun Obasanjo of his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership card, the Party's Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih said the action of the former president was an indication that he has left the party and he would not be missed.

Anenih spoke briefly on Monday in a short interview with State House correspondents. The BoT chairman told journalists that Obasanjo can join any party he so desires to join.

"He (Obasanjo) has the right to leave any party, and he has the right to join any party; he is a Nigerian" Anenih said.

Asked if PDP would miss Obasanjo, Anenih replied: "Why should we miss him?"Asked if the former president was not a big loss to the party, the BoT chairman said: "To us leaders it is not a loss."The former president had been at loggerheads with President Goodluck Jonathan, resulting in the duo engaging in the exchange tirades.

Obasanjo had been criticall on Jonathan's style of governance fueling speculations that he is sympathetic to All Progressives Congress (APC).

If you label Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as a traitor, then it is safe to say that you're totally oblivious of the meaning of treason, and as habitual of you, you feel less comfortable to reason like a rational adult.

Obasanjo that couldn't secure a win in his own local polling booth for his daughter during her last contest for the senate. Obasanjo is valueless to GEJ and PDP. he doesn't have followers and cannot claim to be able to deliver votes for PDO. it is good riddance to bad rubbish.

Re: OBASANJO : Will PDP Miss Him? by Change2015(m): 9:16pm On Mar 21, 2015
When Jonathan loses the election, as he surely will the pdp will trim the wings of all Jonathans puppies. The pdp will be reclaimed by Obasanjo representing the military /Western pdp and the Northern pdp factions in alliance. Once again the south East and south south have made the worst political calculations possible. They are numerically weaker and and less united than any other region and thus even control of the weakened pdp will not fall into their hands.

#change
