as for me I have I sent mine since 23rd of dec last yr and on usps it shows In transit arrived at USPS facility Chicago Il 60666....That is wot it has been showing

on nipost site wen I pastr the cracking in d tracking section and click submit it shows nothing and it more than a month no result

So it passed through sorting in Chicago and shows nothing on the NIPOST site. Hmmm.

The chances are
1. It is in transit and not passed through customs into NIPOST hands hence they dont have a record for it
2. Lost in transit.

If NIPOST is saying they don't have it, they possibly don't.

I knew the issues of closing NAHCO and SAHCO will not be resolved till mid this year. This is tiring.

Did you try finding out how much it would have cost vIa Fedex/UPS/DHL? USPS mail is and would always be delivered by Nipost as long as Nipost is a federal agency....and vice versa. On the contrary.... if you pay through your nose and post a parcel via Fedex, UPS or DHL.....it is very likely that USPS would be delivering it. Read more...learn more. I have been buying things from ebay and amazon but non of the previous buyer ever ship to Nigeria through USPS before and the highest have paid was $57 and ship through DHL or UPS. The only time amazon ship through USPS was when the package was to be delivered in US. I even thought USPS will be better because they charged higher except the seller has added is own.

As you said, I will be patient but what is inside the package is very essential.

Can someone help me to interpret this, I got this from trackitonline.ru, I guess this means the package is in Nigeria or on its way.

On Nipost site, no information comes out when I enter the tracking number, the page will just load and stop. Will be patient hope I get a sms from them as they said.

USPS always charge less than any of the other carriers. Sellers do add more than they are supposed to...in your case I guess way more. Plus they probably sent it 4th class instead of First Class/priority which is not as cheap but much faster and has better tracking. Just be patient

Thanks man, will be patient, the trackitonline.ru shows that the package is in Nigeria and I assume the update always come late, may be the package is with NIPOST all this while self.

I think you might be right about the seller adding additional amount, on the USPS site my parcel is listed as "Priority Mail International" using the tracking number provided. Using their online calculator to calculate the cost of shipping to Nigeria with International Priority Mail should have cost $61 instead of the $94 paid.

Their Priority Mail Express with insurance cover to Nigeria would cost $84 and take lesser days.

I check USPS site and the information there says my package is with Nigeria Custom and when i check the Nipost site its state " Receive Item at Office of Exchange". I called NIPOST official line to know what " Receive Item at Office of Exchange" means and the lady said it means the package is with them but since 11th of February i have been calling on the status of the package but no definite answer, its always call back later, no light or system is down.

I don't know who to believe, USPS or NIPOST, do any body has an idea of how long it takes for customs to clear package through Nipost, a package that was sent some days ago through DHL that passes through same Customs has been delivered.

I'll advice you visit the nearest post office to you and ask than relying just on the calls you make.

Hi guys, thank for this forum, see me see wahala ooo, an iPhone 6 was shipped to me via USPS to my address, I know it takes about 10 or 11 days to get here. It was send on the 7th Feb n it was in Nigeria by 17th so I went to post office yesterday to get it, at first I was told that the package is not there cos it was not registered then after about 30 minutes I was told it is in Ipaja, I have to go to ipaja to get it. So while I was asking for the address for ipaja post office the nipost staff ask me to wait a little. They finally brought out my package. At first I found an opening by the box then after I finish paying 2000 naira I took my package. When I opened it I could not find the iPhone 6, all I find was Nokia N70, toy wrist watch, Panasonic aa size battery, PSP charger. I was shocked told them this is not what I was expecting. They told me that was how it was send. On the package the letter I was covered with a black paint so it shows phone. I don't know what to do, I felt depress and just left. I had to call someone I knew at Nahco after few hours he told me the post office boiz at airport has removed my real stuff that was in it. Here is a pic of what was in it

I told the person that send it, he was told to file an international claim but i dont think that will help

Sorry some Nigerians can never change and they will say government is at fault, not knowing it begins with the masses. Take heart and if you have someone who knows someone that knows someone in power, then you get mouth else

@Lordshark.....a few things. Sorry about your loss. It was nice to show pic of the box...but never allow names and addresses to show ... I suggest you modifiy the post before the wrong eyes take note. Send the pic to the sender to find out if that's his handwriting and the box he used. Reason why is I see no postage on the box ... and a customs form should've been attached to it.The form you put up is a photo copied form. It was possible that the sender did not send what he said he did...but the box and form made me beleve it was switched locally. Those boxes are like tamper proof... tough and the built in sealing paste very strong. If you saw the box was tampered.... you should have inspected before signing off ...or see the manager or whoever and refused it. It would then have to be returned to sender who can file for theft and get what it was insured for or think US$50 basic insurance. For now still make a report so they will know.

Create a new thread and post all the evidence you have.

Also tell the sender to send screenshots. We are strongly behind you.

Is normal with Nipost. My question to you are these; did you open the package in their presence to discover that or did you get home to discover that?

What is the item description on the package?

Finally, does it have tracking number?

Please I need fedex customer care number,when I track my package its showing clearance delay,am worried so I need to call them and ask what's is going on....
