automaticcars:You're really pained. LGA elections in Lagos ought to have been conducted since Oct. Have you asked your oga Tinubu about it? Is the confad report to be dumped in a waste bin? Why do you APC angry children exhibit your anger even to your former ally? To you people anyone who supports Jonathan is bought but for supporting your Buhari he or she is patriotic. You guys should be honest and sensible at least once in a while. |

If not that the world is coming to an end, is it some of the people in APC that will be talking about corruption? Individuals who are poster boys of corruption; some have cases before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Some people will have heart attack because of odumakin's confessions. He has seen the light and chose to follow it. He has a right to it. The camp of light and transformation is still open to intending converts. Do not be ashamed to embrace the light. GEJ till 2019 |

@odumakin, u have lost a fan for this your trash interview. If Jonathan reneged on implementing the confab after voted in, like he reneged on the 1 term promise given Obasanjo what can or will you do?. It is obvious odumakin has collected money/contract from Jonathan. So Odumakin too is this corrupt. |

When was the last time you came across a thread where intelligent discourse was ongoing that didn't degenerate into uncalled for insults and name calling, or didn't get derailed by one crap or another. What's the quality of the threads on the front page ![]() time was when you could actually pick a thing or two from discussions here but not anymore. what was d first comment on this thread ...and u want to attack me??No need to go foreign, check the beegeagles blog 4 one and understand what am saying. whatever sha.. peace. |

Odumakin is a huge disappointment and a disgrace to the Yorubas! Which confab is he and Adenifere dealers (sorry leaders) talking about? The confab was a fraud! It has no legal basis and its membership was not democratic at all but reflected the selfish interest of its conveners! Am sure genuine Yorubas know better. Awolowo would turn in his grave in protest over the shameful conduct of Odumakin and Afenifere leaders and their condemnable political sommersault for pecuniary gains! |

sunayo:In addition, i was irked and alarmed when the same south west ppl who have been clamoring for Confab and APC refused to send any of their delegates. it will take some ppl ages to realize that Buhari is only one person in the mist of looters who are currently surrounding him and i dont see how that translate to change. |

lyricalz:i am quoting you not to counter your points but to correct your use of english. Please, learn to write and speak the lang in a non-insultive way.i am referring to where you wrote "the rest yorubas". Are you saying its all yorubas except odumakin that are not supporting the incumbent admistration? And to those calling others who see things from a different stand point to theirs "illitrates", please, stop displaying ignorance which i believe you are better of. Literacy is just the ability to read and write in any language. So, for any1 to post a comment irrespective of grammatical blunders means such a person is a literate. |

kalohkaloh:So did your current party promised to set up Confab in their current manifesto? Believe me, half bread is better than none. Atleast something was setup which has always been one of the great grievances of the south west, but APC refused to send delegates. All I see is a set of some brave men, from the south west, loyal to one family and complained bitterly when same family institute installation of family members into positions legally. And pls dont compare Awolo and APC ideologies, they are never and can never be the same. |

kalohkaloh:i think you are a disgrace to the yorubas-that is if you are yoruba, for not respecting the man's opinion. Yorubas are educated people and education makes us know the essence of respecting others opinions irrespective of your perspective of the matter. Every 1 has the right to opine and please stop using genral terms like "yorubas" cos odumakin speaks for himself, you for yourself and i for my self. #nooffence# |

What moral right has Obasanjo to extract a single-term committment from any political leader? Did OBJ not renege on his own single term deal with the north and even pushed for a third term after the consitutional two terms? Tell me an elected leader who kept the single-term promise. Truth is all politicians speak from both sides of the mouth. This same act U people are quick to demonise GEJ for is characteristic of all politicians. Ceaseless brainwashing via APC-sponsored propaganda wouldn't allow many to view issues objectively. The ills which confront our nation today are not about a political party but a greedy and inept political leadership. All these talks about Odumakin and others being bought over is too annoying, cheap and simplistic when the vital points he addressed in the interview are considered. People should start addressing real issues and stop attacking individuals who hold political views and convictions different from theirs BabaO2: |

Chigold101:I guess you just came across the term "issue based". Perhaps you don't know, the issue in this case is Odunlami playing the tone expected of by his new employer. This is not about who will implement the confab resolutions and if that is what you are bothered about, Jonathan cannot do it. He has reneged on almost everything and can be said that he is not a man of his words. |
| Re: Why I Dropped Buhari For Jonathan — Odumakin. by BabaO2: 5:36pm On Feb 22, 2015 |
echarlz:Postponement of election made me believed that Obasanjo never pushed for 3rd term, ask urself if Jonathan could push election certain to lose with impunity what could have stopped Obasanjo to have 3rd term with the same impunity ? Sincerity is the soul of business, Jonathan never aspired to be president of Nigeria, but to satisfy constitution he was confirmed president after the death of yaradua a northern slot, to compensate Jonathan again OBJ rose against northners even despite it was their turn/slot to rule. OBJ pacified them, Jonathan will spend only a term. So what is moral justification for Jonathan and his beneficiaries to reneged that promise?. I can feel Obasanjo with shameful, unfaithful and untrustful character of mediocre Jonathan |

Firstly, Odumakin is never the National Publicity Secretary of the Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere. Rather, he is with another group called Afenifere Renewal Group. There is nothing so special about Afenifere, Afenifere Renewal Group, Afenifere Unity Group and others using duplicity of political affiliations in Yoruba land to enrich themselves.Yinka odumakin like others use the Yoruba nation as tool to climb ladder of popularity using political activism and frequent social media interviews to get connected to government of the day and enrich their pockets. While in the service I was a radical, in the university an activist, in 2008 a fellow activist but a graduate of Unife (now O.A.U) from Akwa Ibom State told me Odumakin was in his mate in the University. The argument then was on Bamidele Aturu (RiP), a well known activist and social crusader that is ready to defend what he believes not people like Ebenezer Babatope and Yinka Odumakin who use popularity to gain political favour at the expense of Yoruba nation. By then, his book 'Watch the Watcher' has not been written. I only remember, I read a book 'Not his Will' written by Ebenezer Babatope. I was confused on how Ime, an AkwaIbomite can see similarity between Yinka Odumakin and Ebenezer Babatope. But in 2014, six years later, I can now see that some people actually saw tomorrow. Yinka Odumakin made himself the mouth piece of a not recognized group - the Afenifere renewal Group, but when the Minister of Works said South West consume more money than any other region in Nigeria and there was a little protest from some people including Afenifere Renewal group leadership, there was no statement from Yinka on behalf of the group, rather, another person spoke. I remember, I once saw him with the works minister at Sagamu - Lagos expressway before the commencement of the project, which means the minister enjoys his patronage. Since the Minister comment on project implementation was rejected by groups in South West, he (Yinka) has been speaking under another group name which is not Afenifere Renewal group or just as an independent political activist. Now he can form a political presure group or speak as an independent candidate having gained popularity using ARG and the Yourbas as ladder to fame, connection and may be subsequently great wealth just like ebino topsy I know in my secondary school days but now a ruling class member. The Gods of Yoruba nation will judge all those that work against the greater wish of the yoruba people. It may not be their will or they may be watching the watcher to fame and wealth, they will never be forgotten when time comes. All the political parties they are using _ SDP, UPN, AD and Labour Party including their main party that is currently spending money like paper even more than sitting governors using thuggery, intimidation, harassment, financial inducement and others to terrorize south west people and disturb the peace cannot kill our determined spirit and believe. We cannot be bought - Bi ibi re ko' se f'owora o ti daju. Despite everything we survived Abacha, Ewe odan see ju bee lo eran l'ofije. We will survive them. No meeting or perambulation about can change a resolved will of Oodua people. The Oodua spirit will fight them. I will continue later |

This is just like Tai solar in selling out, after IBB made him chairman of people's bank. Mr odunmakin, your opinions are irrelevant |
