Did anyone say "Mbaka why?" in a thick Igbo accent to you over the
weekend? I heard it almost five times over. I did not understand until I saw
the 45-minute video titled Mbaka Why?


The music video was done by one Prophet B.B.C AKA Osuofia 2 in reply to
the Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka's outburst at the Adoration Ground, Enugu late last
year. In the video, he made satirical comments addressed to Rev. Mbaka,
querying his potency as a priest, and asking some rather serious questions
about why his prophecies don't come to pass.


In the video, Prophet B.B.C asked if Rev. Mbaka was a priest or a politician,
because he was dabbling into politics while using the pulpit. He also said that
Nigerians should put Rev. Mbaka into their prayers, because the devil was
about to deceive him, and take away his anointing.


If you haven't seen Mbaka Why, I suggest you go grab a copy if you
understand Igbo (the video is in Igbo), or watch it with a friend. This Prophet
B.B.C guy has gotten his own share of the booty, because the video has gone
viral and copies of Mbaka Why are in serious high demand.
So next time you hear someone say "Mbaka why?" in a strong Igbo accent,
please have a good share of the humour. After all, Mbaka Why?

Really, if you watch the video, you'll see this BBC was making some real sense

It isn’t in the musicians best interest to have publicly attacked a Priest but in my humble submission, he was right in a way.

This is not a song. Just a speech, chant wit the Speaker asking him (Mbaka...hence Mbaka why?) why his prophesies don't come true and why he wants to make the same mistake again with Jonathan, like he did with Mbaniuju (Anambra Governor 99-2007). He says he's from same LGA with Mbaka, knew Mbaka as a Seminarian when he served in his village, then speaker a small boy. Etc Nothing exceptional about the video jor.
