• Voting for Buhari is a blatant admission that for over 30years Nigeria hasn’t groomed or is incapable of grooming a leader capable of leading us in these modern democratic times.

• Some Yorubas/core South-Westerners in Nigeria are crying over about 5years of a ‘so-called’ non-inclusion in the GEJ government, but what about the South-South region whose oil contributes more than 80% of revenue(from oil) to the Federal government that have been alienated from power for over 40years!!! APC is playing the ethnicity card yet pretends this is a contest that is wholly about competence/integrity as opposed to religion/ethnicity which Nigeria has always been plagued with.

• The ex-military dictators are ganging-up due to common interest; OBJ wants to teach ‘a bloody civilian’ by the name GEJ a political lesson, while IBB is simply playing safe-like the maradona he will always be. In the midst of all these drama it’s unfortunate that seemingly clueless ‘bloody civilians’ are busy cheering on for change??!?!!Clearly we haven’t shaken-off the military dictatorship-inspired mental slavery-what a shame! We should at least burrow a leaf from Indonesia.

• 73 years old Buhari is simply power drunk with questionable integrity and little verifiable leadership traits; I guess this has something to do with the military genes of the old order. OBJ tried to extend his tenure, the same way Buhari forcefully truncated a new/struggling democracy. It’s very ironic that Buhari took up an office under a once junior officer’s government (Abacha) yet turned down chances to help the GEJ government curb Bokoharam in the nation’s interest.

• We are talking about austerity measures but our lawmakers (PDP/APC) are not even attempting to reduce their salaries/allowances; neither do they want to allow Local government autonomy (because they are mostly loyal to state governors or are nursing governorship ambitions). In the same manner they have been stalling the GEJ promoted Petroleum Industrial Bill. These are the people we should channel this new found change-aggression to instead of one man trying his best to make Nigeria work. I am not suggesting we go the Burkina-Faso way; but we sure can learn crucial lessons from these our African brothers/sisters.

• I can spill my guts now on Nairaland thanks to GEJ’s government truly liberal democratic rule. Whether you admit it or not he has been running a significantly more transparent government than any other government we have had; this has led to uncovering of a lot of lootings that have been perpetuated from way-back- in subsidy, pensions, government ministries etc. We know a lot of all these now because of the current government-not because Nigerians all of a sudden got better at stealing or being corrupt.

• Truthfully we have bigger problems in Nigeria where we have lots of Nigerians clamouring to give birth to their children in US or UK for easy access to these countries or other countries of the world when these children grow up When this happens the folks that can truly pay for quality education and health transfer their monies to other economies-yet we still expect a miracle to happen 15years down the line in our Nigerian education and health sector

• Nigeria’s economy has been growing at a fair pace partly because of massive foreign direct investments (FDI) propelled by mostly Chinese, Indians and Lebanese- while truly wealthy Nigerians are busy buying flashy cars and building houses they don’t need.
Nigerians truly need to wake up!!!
I applaud GEJ’s approach in the power sector privatization by selling these companies to Nigerians who can decide to have foreign technical partners and still retain majority stakes in these critical investments in Nigeria.

• APC say that GEJ’s achievement in railway is insignificant yet Fashola broke the Lagos state bank to ensure the CMS-Badagry railway is functional- who is fooling who?

• With CNN’s validation of Nigeria’s projected economy growth more FDIs are coming and if you ask me, the plummeting Naira and increasing power sector investments is a perfect recipe for Nigeria’s economic boom. This is the time for Nigerians to step up and build up business value-chains less reliant on importation.

• Nigeria is on the rise and we need a truly progressive government; I am convinced for now GEJ is the better evil- better than an unclear change messiah.
