Its possible with a new I-20 stated for Fall 2015

It's possible but there's a caveat you didn't include in your response. It has to be within 30 days to the resumption date on his I-20. Otherwise he'll have problems @ the POE.

can i got for inteview with dt gre or write another?

Yes and NO but it depend on schools.

Some schools will be within a years or 2 years old or within 3 years old or within 4 years old or 5 years old
