Mexican prisons are worse but inmates have conjugal rights. Do our prisoners have conjugal previlidges?
you can have conjugal visit if you are rich. The former NPA chairman Bode George had conjugal visit while he was in prison

Very terrible conditions even for the people working there.

How can you go to work in such a place everyday and be motivated?

Reasons why you should be a law abiding citizen and stay away from trouble.

If the prisons become very comfortable, more comfortable than the house of the average man, it would have its vices. The living standard of the average Nigerian needs to be improved first.

However, I believe the Nigerian government can do better than this...at least make it a bit habitable. These pictures are an eyesore.

That said, I have no sympathy for those who truly deserve to be in jail. I have never believed in restorative justice anyway.
we get it all wrong, Prison is supposed to refurbish and rehabilitate inmates rather than condemn them , they are supposed to be taught things that will make them ready to join the society and mixed well without me and you having any fear of having them around us. when you subject a prisoner to the tough life they get faced with in the Nigerian prison, expect that they will become dangerous to the society cos they probably have seen it all while you are thinking that they are scared of facing it again but they have nothing to loose and have learnt from the real bad guys in jail

It's not everybody that are in the prison that are not law abiding. Some are standing trials for wrong accusation, some are awaiting trial on land issues etc. What I pray for is that issue that we know nothing about will not make us go there. I have someone closed to me who had land issue where the owner wanted her money back on the land because the land was claimed by government after many years of occupancy where the new owner didn't go for C of O and the judge over the case put him in custody till his bail terms will be concluded, and this happen to be on a Friday afternoon, before the bail terms could be met was on a Monday; the experience he went through in the course of the weekend was nothing to write home about. All I pray for in life is God protection should be constant for me and my love ones so we won't suffer the consequences of another man misconduct.
