Onion contains some chemical that will be released when you cut onion. If you cut onion with very narrow knife, it can make you cry less. Our tears come from glands that produce water when our eyes get irritated. Chemical that come out from onion make our eyes teary. By moving your jaw (like chewing gum), you can stop the gland from producing tears. Without gum you can still hold your tears by constantly moving your jaw. Might work against Police tear gas too. Maybe when next you involve in any rally, make sure you have your bubble gum handy cause the Police might come calling to do their stuff  |
