Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has admitted that the All Progressives Congress poses a threat to his re-election bid. He admitted that it will be tougher for him to win the election now than it was in 2011. Despite the threat, he, however said he was not worried about the possible outcome of the forthcoming presidential election. President Jonathan, who was answering questions on an African Independent Television (AIT) programme, Kaakaki on Thursday, noted that those who defected from the PDP) gave the APC the strength it currently enjoys. APC is not just a threat, APC's Mohammadu Buhari is the leading candidate in the march 28th presidential election. GEJ and his PDP are only trying to catch up and maybe turn the tide around. And now that Baba is back, it's over for the GEJ camp. The Buhari momentum will only grow stronger. Change is inevitable in Aso rock this year. |

Threat does not mean defeat. Such threats are good because they serve as catalysts for efficient performance by incumbent. Even the opposition know they can't win. Jonathan is good at playing mind games. |

Even b4 GEJ admitted this, we all know GEJ has slim chance of winning this election. The manner of politics being played under GEJ is very dangerous for our collective existence as a nation. OBJ even as a former General never played this kind of wicked politics where PDP for the first refused to conduct presidential primary. Where both ethnicity and religion took a center stage in our political life more than it has ever existed b4. Where anybody that dare say anything not in favor of GEJ and his govt is hated and insulted instantly. Where contesting election against GEJ is viewed as a serious crime against humanity, where politics is being practiced in its raw and most wicked form etc. |
