I bought a brand new LG 5.1 surround system home theatre sound ( 1 woofer and 5 speakers) and when they tested the home theatre at the store playing a compact disc with the home theatre engine all the 5 speakers including the woofer works perfectly but when I took it home and connect it with my goTv I discover that only 2 speakers with the woofer are working whereby the other speakers are not working.

I return the home theatre to change for another one after tested ok on arriving home and connecting it with my gotv to it only 2 speaker and the woofer works and, I also use the cable for playing music via phone and only 2 speakers and the woofer work. Whereas all the speaker cables are slide into the rightful port.


Pls I'm just confuse, any advice need

I'm facing the same challenge. Mine is one speaker though. I called the LG service centre and was told to bring the speaker. Guess you should do that. Or probably engage the service of one of their technicians privately - at ur own risk though. Cheers!!!

ok bro but what do u think about this: I browse google to search over the issue but I saw lots of complains and all I found was some video was recorded with stereo output whereby they're just L and R cord, was it that the cord can only run 2 speakers cus whenever I try to add any of the speaker which are not working to the 2 speakers cable port it works but maybe after a while it will stopped working

Well.....thats a new one. But I believe there'll be a solution.

The five speakers by default are not meant to work all the time. It depends on the surround sound properties of the media you are playing. However, there usually is a setting where you can disable this & make all the speakers work every time on the remote.

One thing some people fail to realise is mistaking an home theatre for a stereo system.. if you buy a 5.1 surround system home theartre, you have a 5 different speakers that actually does their own specific task by bringing out sounds from 5 different channels. if the device you connected the speakers to only has 2.1 channel i.e just Left and right speaker output, dont expect all your 5 speakers to work

in conclusion, All 5 speakers will work when you have a supported 5.1surround content playing. Except of course if you change the speaker settings, which is not available in every HT

Hello peeps, I have been trying to play my new GOTV decoder through my new home theatre LG 358SD. but it doesn't show, I had to go and buy a 3 device connector, yet no success. Can someone suggest to me what to do?

u bought the new version that comes with a red colored cartoon thats why, they av bn modified even if u connect your phone wit it, its just the 2 speakers dat will work, but d old version 5 speakers works perfectly
