the rate at which this country is going, I fear for the younger generations. This civilian administration of this shoeless Otuoke man is something else. Oildichotomy:This is the height of extortion. Ordinary residents or citizens are not allowed to buy pre-paid meters on the open market. They need to go through the Discos and the Discos (especially Eko Disco) are using this to milk the citizens dry. I am sure that if they threw it open and allowed people to buy their pre-paid meters directly from the manufacturing companies, the prices would drop and this scam called extortion would die a natural death.  |

Olalan:Mtcheww! They gave you a bill of 8k per month for a 3-bedroom flat??  and you are not happy?Come to Festac Town in Lagos. They once brought a bill of 60k (i.e. sixty thousand naira) to a 3-bedroom apartment in one month, despite the fact that the entire house was unoccupied for the better part of that month! We have written letters, we have complained and till date nothing has changed!! May God deliver us from Eko Disco! |

laudate:Ours was in Ibadan year 2005... they installed the meter when only the gateman was at home and left 15 units on it ... so we only paid for the 15 units and bought more unit... |

My question is this: Who fixes these pre-paid metres when they go bad? My neighbour's metre gave a funny noise one day, and stopped working. She called Eko Disco staff to report. Guess what? They asked her to buy another metre. Meanwhile, her pre-paid meter was just installed 5 months ago, after she waited 18 months to get the unit. Imagine! They held on to her money for 18 months, telling her "come today, come tomorrow.." |
