Your Excellency!

Your name rang bells to my ears each time I hear it.
The tales of your performance in Lagos crosses the shores of Nigeria.
To some extent sir, your name even came up several times as a presidential hopeful (but this is Nigeria, you are not from "catchment area"wink.

In the midsts of touts like Amechi, liars like Lai, "lords" like Tinubu, and tyrants like Buhari, I still listened to you with attention and wished you belonged to the camp of real progressives.

You do make sense almost each time you speak!

However Sir, your recent comment about Jonathan an the Almajeri schools is kill joy!
You have destroyed what ever admiration and respect some of us have for you.

I knew that this is politics and you must to all you can for you party to win.
If you use the inability of Mrs Jonathan to speak Queens English (I don't speak it myself), I can understand.
If you accuse Jonathan of being responsible for the misrule of the PDP from 1999 (incidentally, OBJ and Atiku are now in your camp),or I can understand.
IF you accuse Jonathan of looting N30 Trillion (As mentioned by Soludo, though I am aware that he annual National budget never crossed N5 Trillion), I can still understand.
If you shout that one Dollar is now pursuing N500, I can also understand.

I can go on and on....but I am sure you have got my drift.

But to speak against one of the greatest silent Revolution of Jonathan's administration (The invention and Implementation of Almajeri Schools) is not only mischievous but insensitive as well.

The average Northern Moslems lock up their daughters in the bedroom and covered their faces, while their sons are sent out to the streets with plates ( a practice inherited from some primitive teachings in the name of God).

The average Northern Moslem leaders saw nothing wrong with the practice:
Great names like Buhari, IBB, Abdusalami, Atiku, Shagari, Balarebe Musa, El Rufai, Lawal Kaita, Ango Abdullahi, Adamu Chiroma, and the rest of their great leaders, both present and past, never bothered, never cared.

Even Yaradua never bothered..

Education is the right of every human! While the children of the elites like Buhari are schooling in London (we all know how poor he is, else his children might be studying in the moon and not any where near the earth), the Almajeri's are left on the streets, without hope.

Those are are the easy recruits for Islamic violence in the north! They are the easy prey of predators like Boko Haram Jihardists.

Enters Jonathan!

Even if he only dropped the idea, that would have still be great toward solving the problems created by primitive religious ideologies in the North. Yet, he went ahead to implemented such!

If not for any other reason, that these kids have something else to occupy their minds instead of hearing that "Boko is Haran"!
That is a step in the right direction!!!

Fashola, how dare you!!!
How dare you open your mouth to speak against this great idea from a great mind??
Must you allow your mind to be twisted just in the name of "Opposition"?

What is exactly the change you folks are talking about?
IF building schools for the Almajeris is not a change, please sir, what is change?

I dare to say,

Shame on you!
Shame on the APC
and shame to all who support this deceit!

cheers to all.

I thought you are going to be APOLITICAL with your argument, but its unfortunate.

The question for you is how do Almajiri students proceed further in their educational career? e.g Primary -Secondary -University.
Where is the future for Almajiri students, why not create Basic primary schools.

The Almajiri System of Education in Nigeria should be abolished.

Pls, where is the great idea or the great mind?
Jonathan's?
Your mind must be so low as to look up on cluelessness and claim it was a great mind.
What is so get abt a fool harbouring and encouraging corruption in so glaring a manner?

What is great abt a mind who thinks buying everybody makes them friends?

What is great abt a man with a cabinet that gives just 13% to the masses out of 100% of trillions in budget?

Your brain needs an upgrade: visit play store or Nokia ovi for the next step.
For several years, political leaders from the North, have ignored the Almajeri menace!
From councilors to House Members, from Commisioners, to Ministers, Reps to senators, Technocrats to Heads of State, Elders to Elder states men, all had never imagined that the Almejiris need to go to school!

Their Governors use state funds to build mosques and sponsor pilgrimages, and if they give scholarship, it will be on Islamic and Arabic studies!

It a took a great mind and a visionary leader to pay attention to those kids!

You may not like Jonathan sir!
It is your business and not mine!
But to deny the Possible, but Powerful Positive Impact of the Almajeri schools is nothing but mischief!

Whether you like it or not, Jonathan has set in motion the system that will address the injustice meted on the Northern children by their fathers and leaders!

Give honour to whom honour is due.

I checked your link and saw you are actually ignorant!

Let me educate you a bit!

In the north, you have Islamic teachers (Mallams) who run Almjeri "schools"!
Fathers bring their sons from tender ages to this mallams.

They are thought the Koran and Islamics studies.
Then they are sent out to go and beg on the streets (as a sign of humility).

That is the system the writer is talking about!!!!

Jonathan came up and suggested they should abolish it, leaders of the North kicked against it!

so Jonathan decided to adjust the system!
1. build class rooms.
2. Give them uniforms
3. Feed them (stop them from begging)
4. Introduce other subjects, (English, Maths, arts, science)

In other words, Jonathan's Almajeri school is like Primary Schools that offer basic education!

What we want is result and not definitions and names.
That is a revolution!

Do your research very well sir.

I am sorry for being political, it is my genes!

Ontisha Bridge: Bridges are not built over night sir.

Roads: OBJ (the latest "change" agent) had two terms in office and the Benin Ore road, remained a death trap, Jonathan has done it.

Power: It was still OBJ that spent Billions on Power with nothing to show: Jonathan has merely put the power industry in the hands of Privae investors. Whether you like it or not, it is a matter of time.

The rest of your points are too sentimental for my comments.

Our economy is growing despite insurgency.
It is time for you to become creative or you can sit down and rant.

Almajeri school is Almajeri school no difference.

What GEJ did is a sign of VINDICTIVENESS against the North.
He is simply saying if the north want poison(Almajeri school) he will give them the poison(Almajeri school).

But rust me, Nigeria is not worth it!

I have taken a careful look at Nigeria and I can tell you that as a result of different and extreme and value systems, we are really in a jinxed situation.

I prefer to lead a group of lambs, teach and nurture them to their full potentials that to lead a a mixture of

Lamb, goat, lion, zebra, snake, tiger, etc,

When you face the snake not to bite the lamb, by the time you turn, the lion may have eaten the goat.

We have no national ideologies!
That is why a great man like Fashola can vomit this obscenities and some people are clapping for him!

You can take the horse to the River but you cant force it to drink!
If Jonathan is treated this way even for this great idea of Almajeri schools, you then can imagine how they will react if some us that a re more radical comes up with our ideas.
If we must be a great nation we must over look the insult of those who want the I'll of this nation and contribute our quota to her.

Have you seen how they have tried to make Nigeria ungovernable?

Before the elections, we told them Jonathan was going win because of two major reasons:
1. The middle belt now prefer to align southward than northward
2. the south south and the south east have entered into an unwritten alliance.

then we warned of violence in the North because of the anger and mentality.
Blood has been flowing till then!

The innocent are slaughtered for no reason in the name of politics.
Fro declaring a state of emergency in the North, the "progressives" (including Buhari) accused Jonathan of declaring war against the North!

OBJ didn't spend invisible billions on power.

Second, have u forgotten that Yar adua stopped OBJ's electrical contract to a Chinese company to probe it only to reapprove it again after seeing it was genuine.

I agree that politics and government as it is played here is nothing to write home about, but you see, my destiny is not tied to Jonathan or Buhari! Thats my mentality bro.

Somebody has called on me for political leadership but I know myself, for I cannot fit in!
For example, why do we have two chambers at the National Assembly? One will just be fine. Two is too expensive.
why should we have Minister of Agriculture, then Minister of State for Agriculture? If the minister of Agriculture cannot do the work, he should resign.

The current concurrent expenditure in our national budget is a shame!:
If I find my way there, I will prune the work force, retain only the creative and productive ones that are needed.
The rest must go, think, creative an produce or have a party with hunger.

And I have no intention to?
I don't do government contracts bro, so how would I be a beneficiary of loots?

Did you mention opportunities?
Well, I don't have opportunities in that sense.
the last application I wrote, I was asked to put my state of Origin at the back of the application envelop.
I did submit it, but that was the last.

Trough self education, (not from the so called four walls of the university), I have learnt how to create my own opportunities!!

Feel my pulse bro, everyone us have opportunities staring at us daily, but we many do not see it.
They are waiting of manna to fall from the skies.
It is time we tel Africans the truth!
We have become lazy minded, waiting the so called good job with fat salaries.

If that is your idea about opportunities, count me out.

The masses will feel the impact of the economy directly proportional to the impact they are making on the economy.
I have no sympathy to those who chose to be lazy!

There opportunities, great and very many opportunities.
but the kind of education we got has blinded many to see these opportunities.

I hereby make you an offer!
If you are concerned as I am, do something for the ignorant.

organise for an Opportunity/Success seminar/workshop, I will be glad to come and offer what I have.

once more send me a mail: noble_concept@yahoo.com

Mind you, we are both concerned, only that we see it from different perspectives.

Jonathan is a change agent. I ve got the change I need.
