Why I Think Goodluck Jonathan's Government Is Different From Other Governmnet by aleniboro(op): 10:49am On Mar 17, 2015
I am neither a fan of GEJ nor that of Buhari, in fact I will consider myself a politically neutral person. But as a citizen of this country who have been observing our political institution and framework, I observe the following about our incumbent president:

1. He has really contributed to real democracy by allowing opposition to grow optimally to its present level: There has been no government in the history of this country that allow opposition to grow during his tenure like this without using the instrument of states to check such opposition. We can all remember what chief Obafemi Awolowo's Action Group faced in the 1960's as opposition leader.
2. There is freedom of speech both online and in Nigeria physical realm: I can imagine how people are abusing this right by making statement that is capable of causing war and conflict all across Nigeria geopolitical zones. Even media houses are now speaking anyhow and yet none of them has been attacked by the security agent when we all know that most of what is coming out from such media houses are capable of destroying our nation. Here in Nairaland we surely know that some sponsored agents of political party are here to raise propaganda, assassinate characters and confused the innocent citizen to vote for their candidates.
3. No political prisoner or political assassination associated with the president due to hatred or political reason: Bola Ige, an opposition leader was assassinated during Obasanjo regime. Baba believes in elimination method be it political elimination or otherwise.
4. It remains the only government that eventually tolerate the rule of the national assembly by opposition without blood shed. We can all remember what happened in Ibadan to senator Ladoja when he was removed by hooligans supported by the federal government simply because Ladoja was in Atiku camp not even in opposition party.
5. He remains the only president who has not been able to control unguided utterances of his first lady which has been hunting his government and misrepresenting what he stands for.
6. He also remains the only president who has not been able to take decisive stand on the issue of corruption against his ministers and people in his government
7. Under this government, the christian community is fractionated for the first time due to involvement of top Christian's leader in partisan politics.

Please, abuse me very well, that is my feelings about this government, politics or not politics.

You will discover that Buhari's government was the only government named after two people : Buhari/Idiagbon regime. Obviously that regime was a military regime and surely was not expected to tolerate something like that. However, Idiagbon is no more and Buhari is fighting to head a democracy government, with his age and experience things might turn around to be positive.
