olas24u:please stop shifting d goal post..accept it dat abacha stole our treasury dry and for once admit it dat u had it all wrong.... u r just making baseless speculation without facts....first u said d west were responsible for making abacha look bad because he was military now u r now blaming obasanjo...how far can u go by defending a man apparently guilty of looting nigeria dry....even his family members know dat abacha looted..u r d only one who claims dat he was setup by obasanjo without evidence?... ![]() Now to ur glorified "corruption activist" buhari,he puts himself up as a perfect man without blemish....if u know wat it is 2 hold a public office,u will know d responsibilities....as ptf chairman,he had knowledge of ALL the transactions made by abacha or his sons....nothing passed by him without him being informed....how can u be in charge of an office and yet u dont know wat is happeningi dat office.... if u were in charge of a department in a company and there was a mishandling of funds by ur department, who do u tink will be held responsible? ...its all about taking responsibilities and accepting u r wrong and not defend sum1 because u want 2 cover up ur tracks...dats wat buhari did! ![]() One tin i have noticed, wen it seems dat a person is has been found to be guilty with facts,is dat ur likes resort 2 asking dat such cases be taken to court... ![]() ...And pls i dont wish for him to be in prison with wat i know about him(he is now aged) but he sud not come and claim 2 be mr righteous or saint micheal wit no skeleton in his wardrope! he claims he wants 2 fight corruption and yet he surrounds him self with people of questionable characters...how do u prosecute d same people who gave u a platform 2 b president with deir looted funds...? If indeed he wanted 2 end corruption like he always preaches,he sud have remained in CPC and contest dis year's election....there are atleast some credible individuals with some little conscience not APC....not a party filled with corrupt politicians battle to ensure dat APC is brought into power so dat d looting can continue from where they started...dat according 2 someone on nairaland is called LOOT-OCRACY ![]() |

It was also another way of siphoning funds to oda countries?....If u claim ptf has no power 2 give or take funds, why was it probed by a panel setup by obasanjo in 1999 for mismanagement of d nation's funds?.. ..i dont mean 2 sound rude but please mind ur language and besides i was never referring 2 u neither did i mention u....if ur way of discussing issues is engaging in insults like u do on d religious section, den u just found d right match...i repeat watch ur language cos u wudnt want us 2 go down dat path and u personally wont like how it will pan out...smh |

chamboy:sorry 4 quoting u but Jesus and his disciples being compared 2 buhari and APC stalwarts is not only shocking but insulting on d personality of Jesus Christ.... remember buhari didn't choose dose supporting him wit deir looted monies....dey chose him! and just like wat amaechi did 2 buhari wen he was answering d press men, same will happen if he eventually becomes d president.... Dats wat Bakare fear most...he is afraid dat buhari can't face his facilitators and prosecute dem after he has been elected... like wat my cousin said,if after election he is sworn in and keeps repeating d "war on corruption" song...d cartels in APC will just send him 2 a "long sleep"....lol |

openmine:Try to believe without bias then. You said on March 18 that https://www.nairaland.com/2201705/trust-buhari-doubt-environment-tunde/4#31733759 ( am all 4 facts 2 prove dat Gej is corrupt beyond redemption..... not newspaper speculations or people's perceptions about someone). Then you end up giving me newspaper speculation. I gave you video evidence, you didn't bother checking it or cannot check it because the current government has not made such easily affordable/accessible. The video was from channelstv and is still on their website. I watched it, it was a channels interview with Buhari, and he clearly referenced Abacha administration as that of wanton corruption. It's on the Internet, not hidden or propaganda like most pdp quote attributed to Buhari and only seen in picture and photoshop. |

openmine:You refused to do research or ask around but instead resorted to cockiness and threatening me. This is the intellectual laziness Buhari refers to. I will forgive you and help you out. The ptf is the petroleum special trust fund. Remember when President Jonathan increased pump price and promised palliatives, buses, refineries, ticket to heaven and other lies. Well, it's similar to what abacha did, only abacha was more honorable. Abacha increased pump price and when people were groaning, he created/decreed ptf to existence. To “identify key projects in all parts of the federation so as to bring about equitable development to all our communities.” PTF funds were a percentage of the increase in pump price revenue. Buhari was put as head of it. So you saying that is where all the money was is naive and ignorant. Try to confirm please, I'll spare you a reply on the remnants of what you typed. |

openmine:Oh, when you say APC is 80% of PDP, then you should not have headaches or any problems with APC winning the elections since it's same same according to your theory. It's not an option up to me because i don't reason that way. The campaigns have been very clear and we can all see those that can at the least pretend to be disciplined, purposeful, issue based, and ready to do things differently. Things cannot and should not continue like this, the PDP thinks it should and that we are experiencing transformation. My faith is in God, i have none left for the PDP. https://www.nairaland.com/859122/buhari-nigerias-head-state-1983-1985/6 |

openmine:The point he passed across is so simple, LEADERSHIP. People follow the leader. As corrupt and whatever Nigerians are, they behave when abroad, in traffic, business, exams, waste management etc. Because those places have a working government/leadership. Not the i wasn't consulted kind of management. Also on Ameachi, that is very normal and his job. The question was a trip question, with neither response favoring Buhari's campaign. They do it everywhere, shielding presidents/leaders from potentially harmful questions. They do it in the US often to journalists. The president will not be taking questions at this time etc. i remember watching 24 some years ago and David Palmer was asked a question, someone shielded him from answering, though he later decided to answer. Point is, it's not a strange thing or a sign of the politicians being controlled. People have jobs to protect politicians to some extent from embarrassing or harmful questions. President Jonathan is number 1 proof, unfortunately gaffe plenty for him body. |

Image123:Am hoping u are not alluding 2 d fact dat jesus christ and his disciples are now d twisted version of buhari and apc cartels...its not only shocking but also a pity dat its coming 4rm someone like u no matter ur political affiliation(well am guessing u r an apc supporter) ![]() Of wat use is ur leadership if ur followers dont believe in ur "supposed Philosophy"...If he were in cpc,i wud have course to believe him but not this union called APC where deir so called masterplan is only but a coverup 2 continue deir looting of d national treasury...lets be frank with our selves, buhari is obviously going 2 be a puppet in d hands of d cartel in apc and its only a matter of time before it starts happening... As 4 u refering amechi interrupting buhari as a norm is just a flimsy excuse 2 cover up d real crisis dat will soon take place wen dis adulterated union called APC is allowed to reign....lets say he was in a debate and such question was put across 2 him, will ameachi come and stop d debate because of such question?....just like u compared this to 24 series,My question is....inspite of his aides shielding him...did he still answer d question or not?? dats where u know a leader who is not afraid 2 answer any question no matter how complicated....dis is d reason why bakare is worried dat no matter d little crediblity he might have(which i personally doubt he has),he might not live 2 continue with his so called "corruption jingle" in d mist of money-hungry and crime laden politicians in APC masquerading as d "saint paul" of our time. |

openmine:GEJ's philosophy is one of sustained corruption, nonchalance and gross incompetence. Buhari's philosophy of discipline and prudence has so far been followed by his party in this campaign unlike the PDP where everyone is given a free role to misbehavior, and the Presidency keeps mute or feign ignorance. You are saying what you don't know, giving us maybes about the future. Only God knows the future, so stop persuading us with maybes. The present and past is clear, the PDP government has failed at federal level. It is a normal thing for spokespersons in the capacity of Ameachi to answer questions on behalf of their bosses or try to divert/deflect questions. Ameachi answered the question, he said Buhari already answered by saying he can't change the past. That is the best answer for his campaign and that is Ameachi's job. The PDP government remains a very corrupt government and what makes them worse is the impunity and shameless way they go about it. |
| Re: I Trust Buhari But Doubt His Environment - Tunde Bakare by Image123(m): 10:11am On Mar 20, 2015 |
openmine:Logically, if there's is urge or desperation to hold on to power, one would stay with people that already have the power(pdp), not with people who hope to have the power(apc). That is what logic and common sense SHOWS. The contest is between Buhari and Jonathan. Not between Ameachi and Alamesiagha. Alamesiagha, Ameachi, Sylva and co are citizens of Nigeria and have rights to their opinions and choices, that is the beauty of democracy. That thieves, rapists, thugs, accountants, lawyers, policemen, cobblers and the jobless can all vote in line with the Constitution. So don't get it twisted. On YouWin, it's an initiative that banks, and other companies like Dangote, mtn, gulder, ExxonMobil etc can handle. Encouraging and assisting entrepreneurs is good and anyone can do it. It's not a big deal. Please do not be blinded by self or selfish interest. Perhaps, you are afraid YouWin might be stopped if GEJ loses. I doubt it will be stopped, at least for those already involved. But we need a government that will provide an enabling environment, power, productive employment and dignity of labor. |

openmine:You should help your future with some honesty. Do research and ask around if you don't know. I was around during ptf days and saw it work. I know their source of funding and it is common knowledge. Get your facts please, enough of conspiracy theories and maybes. The ptf was created/decreed when abacha increased the pump price. A percentage of the increase was to go to the petroleum SPECIAL TRUST fund. Google can help you if i, history or your experience cannot. You claimed ptf is "where all the money was". That remains ignorance or plain mischief. It is like claiming that the increase of pump price by President Jonathan in 2012 is where all the money is. Jonathan promised to use the subsidy reduction to build refineries and many other promises. Abacha promised to use a percentage of the pump price increase in ptf projects. Abacha honored his word and promise, President Jonathan didn't. This is so plain I'm starting to be embarrassed for you. You may choose to believe what you want to believe. The fact is out there cheaply, Buhari referred to abacha administration as that of wanton corruption. Those were his exact words on Channelstv. It's on YouTube and i went as far as giving you the link. You didn't bother watching the video because you don't want the truth. |

hmmmmmmm................... It is only in Nigeria that the man who later accepted appointment as PTF Chairman under the MOST CORRUPT government ever in Nigeria's history and then commandeered more than 200 PTF vehicles for private use in his home in Kaduna would not be in jail today. He later said that Abacha did not loot anything from Nigeria! This is the man who, in his supporters' opinion, will have zero tolerance for corruption! It is only in Nigeria that the man who, as PTF Chairman, embezzled billions of Naira through over-invoicing of supplies and the supply of fake and expired drugs to hospitals is now a disciplined man. Why did Ahmed Salihijo, whose consortium was in charge of all the PTF contracts under Buhari, commit suicide when former President Obasanjo commenced the probe of PTF in 1999? It is only in Nigeria that the man who, as Head of State, allowed 56 illegal suitcases of currency notes into the country through his ADC unchecked when there was currency change by his own government in the country at the time would be described as a man of his words. Its only in Nigeria where a man who claims 2 be a corruption activist will surround himself with corrupt agents whose cases up till this moment is still with the efcc and other corruption related agencies....Even his former running mate, pastor bakare, warned him of d apparent influence of his corruption-soaked surrounding which will pressurise him to forget his corruption fight if he finally gets 2 aso rock...!! Now i ask.... Can a man scoop fire into his lap without getting his clothes burnt? YOU CAN NOT FIGHT CORRUPTION WITH CORRUPTION!! The truth that will descend and expose buhari and his blind and guillble supporters is doing press-up ...#DTruthwillset9jafree
