I would fancy Real, PSG, Bayern and Juve to go thru. Monaco would be overwhelmed by the occasion.
Bad belle! Barcelona will win UCL this season. grin

O ga emegi vuum na anya!

No team would wish to draw this Barca but on the other hand, Barça fear no one. We have already vanquished PSG already this season.

Bamford has got something about him. Can he do a Harry Kane? Harry Kane was only slightly impressive at Milwall last year but he had something about his touch and composure. I see some similarities in Bamford.

Exactly what I said about him only a last week. He deserves a chance. Not only because he's scored wherever he's gone but you've seen his movement, intelligence and like you say, his composure on the ball. He could just do a Harry Kane.

Kovacic is a player we were linked with about 1, 2 seasons ago. I agree with you, that's some player we need.

First of all, I think Kovacics natural position will settle as a CM or DM. He plays all 3 positions in central midfield so I was thinking of him in the pivot, with a ninja like Jordy Clasie vying with him to partner Matic.

Second of all, Oscar never declined. Hes always been crap. Last season he disappeared from January to season end . . . . and in his first season, he wasn't much use after Christmas either.

Oscars routine is to grab a couple goals here and there at the start of the season when we are hammering teams 4-0. He's just a beneficiary of the early season largesse when Chelsea hammer most teams. As soon as the year turns and games are tighter when there is onus on the CAM to produce something for the team, Oscar disappears. Every season, 3 years in a row.

In terms of attacking contribution, he is a passenger who relies on the team to play well to buffer his stats. His general passing game was as shýte in August as it is now, the only difference being that in August his goal and assists stats was benefitted by the team scoring lots of goals, and now the team is not dashing out awoof goals, you notice his awful passing a lot more.

I've not really seen Juve thís season, but ninjas say the same about Juve every season yet they fail to penetrate the latter stages. Remember they barely made it out their group, they were fighting to qualify with Galatasaray of all people. So if you ask me, a declining Dortmund made them look good. I will not draw judgement till I see them face a top team.

nope....
it's just the way he has been bending tactical formation beyond the elastic limits. you just have to admire guardiola's tactical approach in games. he bends to no one, other teams must bow to him........never the other way round.

Ur first point, oscar still has to leave... MOU doesnt like a big squad and i dnt see him having kovacic, oscar, fabregas and matic.... Not when he promised cheek and Ake will explode next season

As for the second one, u have a point..... Dude is really annoying, Boga or Baker cant be worse..... M Hoping we pull of another Luiz sale

i really like him for that, but for things like that to work u av to have amazing quality..... The way he sets his team up is just to score, free the defence... If u dont av d ball, u cant score.... He is different

I agree with the latter. Dortmund were a hot mess yesterday. Although good on Juve to take advantage. I still think a Madrid, Bayern, Atleti and Barca would tear them to shreds but against any other team they have a decent chance of making the semis

Kovacic is rather uber-sluggish at times I suspect he would struggle adjusting to England. Icardi is the only player I would pick from Inter atm although you guys might not need him

Kovacic and Clasie?

Haba! Make una stop to dey link every average joe to Chelsea.

Playing for Chelsea comes along with a pressure to perform. It wouldn't be fair to start blaming Emenalo for sanctioning a backyard deal when these lot start underperforming cheesy

And just like A40 would say, dont take anything coming outta the Seria A at the moment serious.

If we are really CM hunting, then either of Witsel and Kondogbia is the answer. Brawn and technique, that's what these folks have to offer and that's exactly what we need.

We keep defining ''oddity'' by asking Cesc to press, man mark and dictate the play from deep. With two competent fellas in our pivot, we'd be giving Cesc the license to dictate the play in our opposition half. I know that hasn't worked out perfectly fine against the big guns this season, but with less tracking back to do, I believe the spaniard would have more energy to create something out of nothing.

I saw Kovacic at the WC, and I have to be honest, I wasn't impressed with what I saw. Dude is too slow on the ball.

Let's go for them boys that have done well in stiffer challenges abeg.

Kondogbia is a no go as he is left-footed and would be veering to the left side of the pitch where Matic stays. I'm looking for a right-footed ninja.

Witsel is a great shout for Matics partner as I've been calling for for some time. Hopefully he should only have 2 years on his contract so might come at a decent price as well.

Clasie is better in terms of controlling possession better than Witsel though, and also tigerish in pressing but not as physical as Witsel. Clasie is ready for any big club right now, at a very good price as well.

Kovacic from what I've seen combines artistry with good running and pace. I don't know what is happening in Serie A this season though.

Another good shout is Ruben Loftus-Cheek. That could save a lot of cash. Think about it, he is Pogba at Man Utd. A 6ft 4 ninja with the physicality, pace and technique that theoretically should do well if someone is brave enough to give him a shot.

The conclusion of all these matters is that our current CM and AM provision is insufficient as it has been since the day Ballack walked out the club. And Oscar, Ramires and Mikel are the weak links to get shipped if the club addresses these needs.

The rumor wey I dey hear has it that Witsel fit link up with the Old ladies next season. Man that would be a steal.

I don't have much on Jordy Clasie. I'm only of the knowledge that he plays in the Eredivisie. So I can't pass my judgement when I'm yet to see the fellow kick a leather.

Loftus Cheek is a special talent. You missed out on Jose's promises for the lad wey I bin post here days ago?

Mou promised to have him playing next season.

I wish he wouldn't go against his words. We know our manager to be oga titus cheesy

In other news, Kurt Zouma has been called up to the French squad by Deschamps.

This is surely the reward for the lad's superb displays.

Pair him already with Varane I say and also hand out call-ups to Digne, Kondogbia, Gonalons, Rabiot and Umtiti.

Les Blues have got a bright future.
