The death of an infant in Abuja recently has called for parents and guardians to be on guard when it comes to their responsibilities . It was revealed according to the NPF that a 4yr-old child who was playing with an 11 month-old baby put the toddler in a plastic container and covered the baby with cloths. Sadly, as a result the baby died. Jesus! Most children under 7years do see babies as of the same strength with them, so as such tend to treat them (beat, slap, push, etc.) in like manner. I have seen so many of such cases and how mothers protect such infants from the hands of such under 7years. It is a call of extra vigilance from nursing mothers to be very watchful. It is sad a lot of parents quickly forget what they've gone through, like voters within the 9 months and post 9 months and deal things with negligence. RIP. |
