I just broke my own rule never to engage goats on this forum. I hope not to be dragged into this kind of rubbish anymore. Although it was fun putting the ignorant goats where they belonged, I feel ashamed for having stooped low tho. My last post on this thread, before I start cleansing the thread. |

slimmy05:Lol. How's he my mentor? - I'm indifferent about him. Personally, I just want regime change, and I believe anyone will be better than GEJ. Also, you can't let someone who performed woefully during his first term, with something at stake (2nd term) - to return. Once you do that, you should be expecting disaster and total destruction cos after the first term - he has absolutely nothing to lose again. Additionally, why should a country practising "democracy" be a one-party state, with only PDP ruling, after failing for 16 years straight? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever - time to try something new. This is where you have to apply Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Moreover, there's no strong political structure in Nigeria for youths. And this old man won't be there for more than 4 years. So, why not let him replace the weasel and his fedora hat destroying things for now - while folks work together to build a decent structure to fight the utterly corrupt status quo in the next four years, and wrestle power away from them? Tony Blair came out blazing, with a structure as "New Labour" and voice of the youths, in his 30s (David Miliband was in his 20s) - and he challenged the status quo. Ditto David Cameron, who copied that blueprint. Nigerian youths can also do the same, and change the whole system. Rid the polity off the old guards and scrounging political jobbers, with a new beginning. ![]() My sentiments |

jaybee3:Lol. Once you start clubbing wildly, you'll get arrested one day. They hide in different spots, and they'll pull you over. Claim ya rights, and you'll be whisked away for resisting arrest. Also, the madness about stop and search sometimes, especially when they come with the, "a crime was committed around this axis not long ago you fit a certain description - tall, black, and in his 20s" line. Once you tell them they've no right to stop you and question you - they'll call for back-up and whisk you away. Most times, they won't even charge you for anything. |

uniklinkum:. . Have you asked yourself, why is every terrorist group always come from the north? The Maitasine thugs...You might remember Kala Kato who caused many deaths in Bauchi in the 1990s.There was the group known as “Taliban” that started in 2002. The Yusiffiya group, also believed to be closely related to the Maitatsine were also attacking security services in the North East of Nigeria as recently as 2011. . . Some commentators believe that one of the senior leaders of Maitatsine was actually an uncle of Mohammed Yusuf, who helped train him and taught him the history of Maitatsineas a child. . . . Buhari should stop “rewriting history”. The truth is that Buhari never destroyed Maitatsine. Winning one battle does not mean you won the war. As a retired military general. Buhari should know this and stop making false claims about his single- handed “defeat of Matatsine”. Buhari knows fully well, that the British Colonial authorities, President ShehuShagari, and others fought these groups in the North both long beforeBuhari became a soldier, and after he had left the army. Buhari needs to admit that this long-running problem has been going on for more than 100 years in the North and he should stop playing politics with the lives of suffering victims of Boko Haram; just because he is hungry for Aso Rock. . . During Buhari era, Nigeria was not only refining crude oil we were exporting the refined product too.. . Was Buhari the one who built the refineries? No he wasn't.... And after his regime....the refineries used is different from what we're using in this era which is more sophisticated and quite expensive. . . And with the likes of Atiku and Buhari and Obasanjo exporting our oil using their ships and stealing the oil during shipping is in APC.... This doesn't make Buhari a better option to GEJ! #Fact . . Our economy was not in a mess during Buhari's era but under Gej we are heading to the ditch economic wise.. . Yet our economic is the best in Africa....even when we're not trading with America to have a direct low currency exchange! . . . . What of the ethnic and religious division he/ and his hang-on are championing for political gains.. . On the contrary, Buhari is the one who's using gang to fight for space at Aso rock! Using religion to seek for power... He allegedly seek for muslims to vote Muslims and christians for christians... Buhari is a no leader but a tyrant! . . While Buhari was imprisoning everybody that cornered our common patrimony GEJ was granting amnesty to convicted criminals.. Lol.... He was just imprisoning everybody that didn't just cornered our common patrimony...but killing innocent Nigerians...who gathered to fight for a democratic government whom they knew was the best government aside military ruling! He killed many journalist....he instilled hardship and suffering to Nigerians.... |

SirShymexx:Your sentiment are selfish anyway. You see Nigeria as a lab and Buhari the Lab scientist and Nigerians as the guinea pigs. Our youths are not ready yet, they prefer to get paid while they run around like slaves. It's not about changing government, it's about having the right people there. I will still support the continuation of GEJ rather than have Buhari and the likes Tinubu, Fashola and Amaechi- they disgust me a lot despite their exposure and claiming the better person. |

One opened account on 27th Feb while the other on 1st March, no topics created, just insults throughout their posts. These are the kind of monikers Seun, Lalasticlala, ishilove, Ngakwe, etc, should consider banning for constantly threatening and insulting people online. It's people like them that will bring down this great forum. |

foxxynik:Utter rubbish get a hold of 13 years of Nigeria military rule that book will solve your ignorance. Dude you fall for the re-basing hogwash too. Dude your economy is in shambles after elections you guys will know the damage this administration has done on the economy. On religion we know the guys going up north to say osibanjo wanna Christianize Nigeria while they come down south to sell the Islamization lines. Who was the petroleum minister when the warri and kaduna refineries were built? Irrespective of you trying to twist the fact, it was on record that buhari led the army that chase maitainsine beyond our borders to chad. |

slimmy05:How are my sentiments selfish? You have a weak and utterly corrupt/inept president who failed woefully during his first tenure, with something to lose (2nd term) coming back with nothing to lose Vs. a different candidate who despite his imperfections is going there to solidify his legacy with a lot to lose. Pray tell which of the two is the better candidate? GEJ's tenure is reminiscent of Jimmy Carter's (the worst/weakest US president ever - Obama might be competing with him now). After his first term, he was thrown out of office for Ronald Reagan, and the Reagan era started with Reaganomics - and that put America back on the map. And since Buhari is around Reagan's age when he assumed office - he might be Nigeria's Ronald Reagan. Also, naysayers said the same thing about Ronald Reagan, but he left office as one of the greatest US presidents ever - with a place on the Mt. Rushmore. Why not do the same? |

SirShymexx:Make your analogy with Africa's past presidents and I would hold it if it pass the sane test a president should possess. I would still want that same GEJ to return to power than have the disgusting cronies like Tinubu, Fashola and Amaechi. You don't need to be the president before effecting change in your country. If you think reshaping Nigeria in 4years is possible with the looters and dictators like Tinubu, Fashola, Amaechi and Buhari, then you don't mean well for Nigeria. |

slimmy05:High flying folks aim higher, and compare themselves to the best. Nigeria is a bad copy of America - so to achieve greatness, you have to compare yourself to standard, which you're yet to meet. Africa as a whole is a basket case. So, what happened to being different and aiming higher, among non-achieving bandits? Well, if his cronies were corrupt, especially since they're in the opposition - don't you think a decent government would've locked them up by now? It just added credence to the fact that GEJ is utterly weak/inept/silly. Conversely, he isn't even a saint - the man and his cronies have looted naija blind. So blind that the country is stuck in abyss and can't even navigate its way out of it. That man has to go! |

It's very obvious that the forthcoming election will be worn by Mr Buhari. Apart from the results of formal polls conducted by various media houses which have been mostlt in favour of GMB, even the trend observed online has also been in his favour. Going through people's comments, likes and shares of online reports of issues having to do with the either or the two of them, it will be observed that the numbers of comments, likes and shares in favour of Buhari always surpass the number of those in support of Jonathan. Observe for yourself. For instance, start from the very beginning of this thread and see the likes in support of Buhari and those in support of Jonathan. Which is more? Also, count the number of comments in support of each one of them and compare. Sometimes, some people do a sort of polls and ask those in support of GMB to like a particular post while those supporting GEJ should share the post or vice versa. I'm yet to see any one of these informal, online voting-like contests won by Jonathan. They have all been won by GMB. You can show me any if you have seen. The same thing happens on various online media, especially, on websites of media houses, when issues about the presidential contest is raised. Let's see what happens again. If you are for Buhari, click SHARE. If you are for Jonathan, click LIKE. |
