They were taken away for security reasons, the UK Met police has no jurisdiction to arrest buhari if there is no court injunction to arrest him. Last time I check there has been no warrant for arrest on buhari.

Personally, I just want regime change, and I believe anyone will be better than GEJ. Also, you can't let someone who performed woefully during his first term, with something at stake (2nd term) - to return. Once you do that, you should be expecting disaster and total destruction cos after the first term - he has absolutely nothing to lose again.

Additionally, why should a country practising "democracy" be a one-party state, with only PDP ruling, after failing for 16 years straight? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever - time to try something new. This is where you have to apply Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Moreover, there's no strong political structure in Nigeria for youths. And this old man won't be there for more than 4 years. So, why not let him replace the weasel and his fedora hat destroying things for now - while folks work together to build a decent structure to fight the utterly corrupt status quo in the next four years, and wrestle power away from them?

Tony Blair came out blazing, with a structure as "New Labour" and voice of the youths, in his 30s (David Miliband was in his 20s) - and he challenged the status quo. Ditto David Cameron, who copied that blueprint. Nigerian youths can also do the same, and change the whole system. Rid the polity off the old guards and scrounging political jobbers, with a new beginning.

Our youths are not ready yet, they prefer to get paid while they run around like slaves. It's not about changing government, it's about having the right people there. I will still support the continuation of GEJ rather than have Buhari and the likes Tinubu, Fashola and Amaechi- they disgust me a lot despite their exposure and claiming the better person.

GEJ's tenure is reminiscent of Jimmy Carter's (the worst/weakest US president ever - Obama might be competing with him now). After his first term, he was thrown out of office for Ronald Reagan, and the Reagan era started with Reaganomics - and that put America back on the map. And since Buhari is around Reagan's age when he assumed office - he might be Nigeria's Ronald Reagan.

Also, naysayers said the same thing about Ronald Reagan, but he left office as one of the greatest US presidents ever - with a place on the Mt. Rushmore. Why not do the same?

I would still want that same GEJ to return to power than have the disgusting cronies like Tinubu, Fashola and Amaechi. You don't need to be the president before effecting change in your country.

It's very obvious that the forthcoming election will be worn by Mr Buhari. Apart from the results of formal polls conducted by various media houses which have been mostlt in favour of GMB, even the trend observed online has also been in his favour. Going through people's comments, likes and shares of online reports of issues having to do with the either or the two of them, it will be observed that the numbers of comments, likes and shares in favour of Buhari always surpass the number of those in support of Jonathan. Observe for yourself. For instance, start from the very beginning of this thread and see the likes in support of Buhari and those in support of Jonathan. Which is more? Also, count the number of comments in support of each one of them and compare.
Sometimes, some people do a sort of polls and ask those in support of GMB to like a particular post while those supporting GEJ should share the post or vice versa. I'm yet to see any one of these informal, online voting-like contests won by Jonathan. They have all been won by GMB. You can show me any if you have seen.
The same thing happens on various online media, especially, on websites of media houses, when issues about the presidential contest is raised.
