Got pictures of weird and odd foods we have in nigeria? Post it Here

1) Edible Winged termites
It goes by different names such as ; Aku "Igbo", Esunsun "Yoruba", Chinge "Hausa", Ogan , Edon doroko "Bini".
They're usually pushed out during the raining season. Termites are rich in protein and packed full of nutrients . Believe me when i say it's really tasty with a nutty flavor. They can be eaten alone as a snack or as an accompaniment to a number of savory dishes.

Can't quantify how many of these irritating winged insects iv swept out of my apartment lately.

I ate some when I was much younger, but can't imagine myself doing so again.

With all due respect to those who eat this delicacy am not trying to demean you. It's proteinious but, but I know wat to eat wen i need protein.

grin

I ate that when I was a kid.
Grandma no dey disappoint kiss

Then we ate without looking at appearance.
Now the looks of the term termite won't let me eat it.
