You can download from their website. Do a search on Google for the serial of the downloaded version when you get it, just follow the instructions from there.

bro please, can I get "Vray render" from you, I work perfectly with sketchup, but still willing to upgrade myself, but you know the beauty of a design is rendering. I'm more into the building design though studied computer science, can I get a vray plugin from you? I don't really like "shaderlight render". Well I learnt everything just on youtube also. Thanks

Sup bro. Its been a while . What package did you use for the dispenser?
Am also wondering if u could suggest a good marine engineering/naval architect CAD for me.
Oh one last question . How to get .jpg pic of my drawings on rhino , would love to also display some of "humble beginnings" here too. Hoping to get to ur prolific level soon.

Been a while. I came on.

Been busy, got this work I do. Involves using the solidworks. I actually machined my first sheet metal today cheesy

Nothing fancy but it's exciting, especially when you do what you love.

Just do a Google search for screen capture. There are tons of apps. I really don't know which software to suggest, as I have no knowledge on that field. I can only say for my field which is mech. Engr.

I can do most of this design enlisted, the only problem i face is time constraint. . . is it possible to do all this design in a day(I.E. 1 per day)? I cold only do each in two days. . . Your timely response is highly appreciated?

What are the Differences between AutoCAD and Revit?

Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit are the two leading applications of architecture industry in the world. AutoCAD is a world class tool for drafting of interior and exterior of buildings while Revit is a smart solution for creating accurate plans for building information modeling (BIM) for large projects.

You will hear these two applications from architects a lot. So naturally it raises a question that “what are exactly they are?”. Our Revit and AutoCAD Training Institute department decided to put some light on the differences in these two CAD applications in this article in detail.

Basis

Autodesk AutoCAD

Autodesk Revit

Define

AutoCAD is widely used commercial software for 2D & 3D Computer Aided Designs (CAD) and drafting.

The AutoCAD application is available since 1982 as a desktop application and since 2010 as a mobile web- and cloud-based app marketed as AutoCAD 360.

Autodesk Revit is Building Information Modeling (BIM) product permitting users to design a building, structure and its elements in 3D, the way to annotate the model with 2D drafting elements and access building information from the building models information.

Industry

AutoCAD is employed across a large range of industries, by architects, project managers, engineers, designers, and different professionals.

Revit software is mainly designed for, structural engineers, architects, designers, MEP engineers, and contractors.

Flexibility

When compared with Revit, AutoCAD is more flexible as you’ve all the surface, mesh and solid commands of AutoCAD.

Revit is stricter; you’ve to do things correctly construction wise as you are building not just a 3D model but also a model that enables you to do coordination of the job and a lot more.

Usability

With AutoCAD you’re working with lines to make basic geometry which represents real life objects.

With Revit you’re working with geometry that’s equipped with real life information. Furthermore, with Revit while you’re operating in one view like a floor plan, alternative views are automatically being generated similarly, like an elevation as an example.

Suitability

AutoCAD is considered best for 2D drawing i.e. where only precise line work is needed, such as elevation detail drawings.

Revit is considered best for modeling, generating cost schedules, collaboration and change management.

i've done a couple of 3d designs with autocad, solidworks and pro-E, i flow easily with solidworks, it has a nice and interactive interface, i enjoy pro-Engineer too but it has a complex user interface, its kind of difficult to use especially to beginners, but i learnt it can handle very complex engineering analysis than other 3ds softwares.....PDMS hmmmmm, i wont say its a no go area, but its not flexible like solidworks, inventor and its likes, it mainly for oil and gas application, u start off by trying to familiarize urself with locating coordinate which i dont find too easy but i tell u, if u're persistent, u're good to go.... all in all, i love solidworks, its very flexible and can be used for virtually all application ranging from simple 3d models to complex mechanical designs including pipe and wire works (routing), sheetmetal works coupled with motion analysis and simulations. just play around with the tutorial section, before u know it, u're already designing, if u need tutorial videos or materials on some of these softwares u can call 0xxxxcor mail me @

Really nice work here guys. It's nice to know that people are putting efforts into developing such technical skills. I don't focus much on CAD design anymore these days, but I used to design components for a nuclear reactor facility and a formula racing team until recently. I used ProE Wildfire, Solidworks and Siemens NX.

If you are interested, there are tons of resources that can help you develop your skill as a drafter and engineer. GrabCAD.com has tons of models and tutorials that you can download for free, and they also have CAD design competitions where you can win money among other prizes. One thing I've realized is that it is almost always a waste of time to try to reinvent the wheel. For most common things you want to draw (fasteners, flanges, etc), you can find exact copies for free on GrabCAD. Re-drawing should only be for your practice, I suggest.

Also while I realize that this thread is primarily for drafters, I would like to encourage everyone to look more into the design of novel devices that you can produce to market and improve the qualities of life around you. Innovation is the key to both personal and societal economic development. One useful resource for this is LocalMotors.com, the creators of crowd-sourced vehicles. They made the Rally Fighter, a drift trike, and also the first 3D printed car, all of which were designed by users on their website. If you have any ideas, you can brainstorm and get help from professionals in the field on there. You can also enter competitions to potentially have your designs produced. The opportunities are endless.

Also if any one can get their hands on Siemens NX (should be available online), I have a comprehensive tutorial on the software that I can share. For those who don't know, Siemens NX is considered a high-end advanced level CAD/CAM program. It basically takes you from preliminary design through engineering analysis and finally manufacturing. It costs $85,000 for the fully licensed complete package sad.

Oh I almost forgot the most important tool: YouTube. I can't recommend video tutorials enough.

Here's what I was able to do.

Your designs are great and I admire, more, your attention to details. It exudes your firm knowledge of your branch of engineering. Many designs I see these days lack adequate details and hence causes errors during project execution. For some designers I think It is a result of inept perception while for others it is the selfish and conscious act of hoarding information so as to gain relevance in the project execution.
