A while ago, rezy15 suggested we do some kind of gaming fair. Local meet-ups, Skype or Google Hangouts? PSN or Xbox Live beat downs? So any suggestions? I honestly don't know how folks feel about this or how we could implement this...

playing gta online would be nice

I've avoided GTA Online like the plague, but from the videos I've seen from Smosh Games, I can see the appeal. Private tournaments via PSN/Xbox Live could work for the football games. MK for the beat em ups, COD for the shooters...I really should pay attention to multiplayer, seriously it's kinda bad, I'm basically the walking target, who by no skill of her own, always ends up Kingslaying.

We have a whatsapp gaming grp for that...we've had it since sef, since the days wen BB wz d main fone in Naija, we had d grp on BB grps den...we do "justice" to ourselves evry nite, somtyms we all gather at som1s place, hv beers & battle it out locally, bets r somtyms put up, & d game is streamed to dose not around, we hv peeps scattered all across d globe wit us...gaming is d order of d day, no hanky panky, no onlookers...we r currently anticipating d arrival of MKX, competition is heating up!

You should consider one, if you've got a functioning laptop/desktop, a decent microphone is also a plus. Why should all the foreign-based* guys have all the fun? We Africans play video games too.

Like Dimdim said meet ups are happening. What needs to be done is a location based meet up on a more frequent basis. Lag gamers are more active in that regard. The tech+ outing for gamers in naija proved we need to do more

This is a great idea. They should also add word games like Canoku in the gaming fair too. The games are challenging and improve your thinking process.
