. Borno IDPs, Barracks Vote APC
. APC Wins in Aso Rock; VP Sambo Fails to
Deliver Ward
. Senator Goje Under House Arrest
General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives
Congress presidential candidate, broke a jinx in
the South-West in yesterday’s presidential
election as he won in many constituencies,
leading to excitements among Lagosians.
Voters at Omole estate, Isheri Road, Ikeja, Lagos
were jubilating when APC won landslide in all
three elections - Presidency, Senate and the
House of Representatives.
The jubilant electorate were chanting - ‘Buhari for
Aso Rock; Jonathan for Otuoke’ obviously
satisfied with the outcome at the polls.
One Mrs Helen Oluwale said the Peoples
Democratic Party had taken them for a ride but
now, it’s payback time.
The voters, in their hundreds. stayed back up to
7:30pm when all results were counted and
announced.
The voters said they wanted change and they are
prepared to take it at the ballot.
The elections, however, went by smoothly without
fracas though it began a little late behind

as against PDP’s 24.
At polling unit 30, APC polled 41 votes while PDP
got 21.
Foluke Daramola Salako, a popular Yoruba movies
actor and producer, who also voted at Omole said
it was a pleasant surprise to see middle and
upper class people come out to vote.
“Everybody came at about 8am and waiting till
about 8pm. That tells me everyone is interested in
the elections. Some want continuity and some
want change. Everything was peaceful and very
open. There wasn’t any violence and it’s
impressive. This shows we can do peaceful
elections and our destinies are in our hands,” she
said.
More than 2,000 people voted in Omole and APC
won in all the polling units.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered his Sunday
Adigun polling unit Alausa, Ikeja to General
Buhari. In the polling unit, General Buhari polled
180 votes, with Jonathan coming a distant
second with 55 votes.
In Ogun State, at Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s

Buhari who polled 30 votes. While in Green
Garden 1 polling unit, Otukpo Local Government
area, the PDP scored 156 and APC got 66.
In Jos, President Jonathan recorded the highest
number of votes at the polling unit of his party’s

Displaced persons, soldiers vote against
Jonathan
In Borno State, thousands of internally displaced
persons (IDPs) and soldiers at various barracks in
Maiduguri yesterday voted for the candidates of
the APC. People from 16 out of the 27 local
government areas of Borno State cast their votes
in Maiduguri, where they are being camped since
they were dislodged from their homes by the Boko
Haram.
Camps visited by our correspondent where the
IDPs cast their votes, include the Teacher’s
Village along Pompomari Estate, NYSC camp,
Arabic Teachers College, Yerwa Government Girls
College, Government College, Maiduguri, Bakkasi
Housing Estate and Women Teachers College
(WTC).
At the polling unit number 017, where displaced
Gwoza residents cast their votes, the APC scored
276 votes against the PDP, which scored 28 in

same at the Teacher’s Village where APC

Unguwar Sarki (Ward 07). The APC scored 263
votes, while the PDP got 81 votes.
Meanwhile, people in about seven polling units in
Unguwar Shanu could not vote because their
PVCs were not given to them by INEC. In the
senatorial election, the APC candidate scored 181
votes, PDP got 53 and Kowa two votes. In the
House Representatives election, the APC
candidate trashed the rest contestants as he won
178 votes and PDP got 53.
However, in Kafachan, Jonathan was taking the
lead, having polled 125 votes in Kafanchan Ward
A, while Buhari trailed behind with 97 votes. The
PDP was equally the one leading in both the
senatorial and House of Representatives elections,
with 155 votes for the Senate against APC’s 63
and 151 for the House of Representatives, against
APC’s 65 votes. source http://dailytrust.com.ng/sunday/index.php/top-stories/19914-2015-why-jonathan-is-afraid-of-buhari-presidency-oyegun

if they bring forward half of their registered voters as the people that actually voted, then there is trouble and that will never be accepted and will be labelled massive rigging cos most states are having just abt 1/4 of their registered voters voting
