The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won the Ezeagu Local Government presidential election in Enugu state, eastern Nigeria by landslide.

The party defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) by a wide margin in the result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Of the 22,005 votes cast, PDP won by 21,005 votes while APC garnered a paltry 280. CPP came a distance 11, AD had three votes while KOWA party got two votes

It's not how many states you win but the amount of popular votes and if you win at least 25% in 24 states.

Both Jonathan and Buhari are likely to fulfil the later I.e win 25% in 24 states. So this election will go down to popular votes.

Buhari wining 40% of Ekiti is a massive improvement over 2011. He is likely to score 25% in Rivers and Edo state which is all he needs if he really needs that. The south west and north Central will ultimately determine who will win

Osun and Ogun and even the entire SW is not a stronghold of GMB/APC. The contest in SW has always been between PDP and ACN/APC hence both parties have ruled in each of the states there since 1999 (except Lagos).

SW and NC have been rightly tagged the battleground since candidates and running mates were chosen. The party that outperform the other in this region will win the presidency. Presently, it's favoring APC.

To burst your bubble, the stronghold of APC/GMB in this election is the NE/NW. That is the region you should compare with your SE/SS.

Which is IMPOSSIBLE! JJust name me that possible state. SS + SE = 11. GMB will win all NW & NE states, and will score 30-60% in all the SW & NC states.

GMB might even get 25% in Edo.
