A man was allegedly shot dead by a soldier today at Bauchi's INEC Office as the military was trying to gain access into the office.

Residents of the state had blocked the military from entering the office as results were being collated and this sparked the violence.

According to report, the residents had held a vigil outside the INEC office to await the announcement of last Saturday's election when the military showed up. Some others were injured while another man hit by a stray bullet. photos below:

Even peaceful protest in Rivers state today to the INEC office was repelled with tears gas at the junction called waterlines around aba road...

Are we this stupid? Prof Jega said INEC will announce the result 48 Hours after counting not 48 Hours after Voting is been concluded. They should go and and be calm.

What is soldiers work in a collation center? I think Jega himself said soldiers have no business with this election unless there is a serious crisis! Where there crisi before the soldiers went to the collation center in Bauchi? From the pictures above, people do not even still seem to be violent even after one of them have been shot dead!
