Nigerians, let's make this platform an avenue to directly convey our general expectations from this NEW GOVERNMENT of GMB. For me, the below: - Total abolishment of corruption in our public institutions. - Total abolishment of Post UME. JAMB should be made formidable enough to provide admission. - Improved power supply. - Local fining capacities. - Total removal of corruption in sales of Kerosine. - Total restructuring of our Educational system. - Full Judicial independence. - Provision of DEPENDABLE employment. Amonst others. Make your additions and don't derail from the theme.m |

1. Implementation of least 30% affirmative action for women. Admittedly, PDP was quite efficient in this area, high profile and sensitive portfolios were given to women (I know we f*** up small sha but I believe in baby steps, we shall get there). In moments like this, Nigerians will surely miss amazons like Professor Akunyili and Oluremi Oyo. 2. Also, women's rights and girl child education in the North. Things like auren dole (forced marriage) should be an obsolete practice by now. 3. I like his pan african and anti imperialist stance on national issues as was demonstrated during his military regime. He should try and extend this to corporate Nigeria slave masters. (DSTV, MTN) , they must obey and it's high time they realised that the Nigerian customer is royalty. 4. Now is not the time to entertain nollywood stars and NAN members' courtesy call visits. All that nonsense must stop. 5. Extra judiciary killings MUST stop. RIP to the ALUU 4. 6. Stop the use of public funds for religious pilgrimages. The aforementioned are some of the minor changes that are needed. The major areas are quite obvious. 1. ABUBAKAR SHEKAU 2. Corruption 3. Power (abeg, help us raise the megawatts to even if na 6000 e better) 4. Education. The mass failure in national exams is embarrassing 5. Health care sector.. you know the drill.. I pray God makes us regain our lost glory amongst the committee of nations. |
