slow down on the hyperbole ma.

The worst that can happen is deportation. Now you tell me which is better.

Sit on your hands and starve while keeping your visa? Or go out and look for work to survive at the risk of deportation?
Risk deportationhuh
and you think the Rivers state Government would congratulate you for taking drastic measures to combat the situationhuh

Guy think again

That is very unfair.

you pay 50% if you are being sponsored by your parents or some persons other than the government. if you are being sponsored by the government all you need do is provide a sponsorship letter as a prove. Guy, get your facts right.
Your 'point' is irrelevant really, because it doesn't matter. Like I said, at the end of the day nobody is allowed to start without a percentage of the tuition paid upfront...which means that the amount of tuition student has to pay on his own to pay is less than the full amount.

And I know people who have hustled to pay at least half their tuition fees whilst studying full time.

This thing is just common sense. One way or another outstanding fees must be paid and student must survive. If fees aren't paid, student's place at university is removed and his conditional visa is revoked leading to deportation anyway.

Again you never ready chop. You need to fix your mentality. You don't sound like you were ever hungry. Otherwise when hunger waya you, and landlord corner you, then you will know that the hustle is real.

I worked fulltime during my final year at Uni...and I knew people then who worked 2 jobs and still finished with 1st class and 2:1.
those people came with the impression that they are sponsoring themselves (Excluding Tuition).

Now, we came here with the impression that we are being sponsored 100% by the government.

Two different scenario

How do you expect students to pay their tuition fees (thousands of pounds), pay their rent, and feed themselves from 20hours per week work. I think you should say something you can do and stop being pointless.

My Tuition is 12,000 pounds.

Tell me how a student can raise that alone, and also save for accommodation, feeding and transport, from taking part time jobs.

You just exposed yourself that you know NOTHING about what you were saying.

Use google and show me any part time job that pays up to 12k pounds annually or you want them to start illegal and shady business so they get into problem with the immigration and police.
your tuition has been fully paid for by your state government and you should be VERY, VERY, VERY thankful for that.

get a part time job to pay for your living expenses. I dont know what part of the UK you are but there are flat shares with bills inclusive all over the country. with £350-£400 a month, you will get a room that you can comfortably stay in.

i dont know what part of UK you are but where i am, monthly bus pass is £52 -unlimited bus travel + use of the city's tram. So take the bus or better still, get yourself a bicycle grin

Feeding - hard chicken is sold for 2 or 3 for £5 in most major citizens. With less than £10, you can convinently cook a pot of soup. grin Can of chooped tomatoes are about 25p at Tesco, if not less grin

You are allowed to work unlimited hours during school holidays - what were you doing over christmas and newyear?

I still stand by my statement - I know people that paid for their school fees themselves. they worked their heads off during summer, doing multiple LEGIT jobs, spending less and cutting down on their expenses. Justwise can come here to collaborate my statement.

I repeat you lot are just a lazy bunch undecided

The stipends wont continue forever. Go and get yourself a job and stop living off nigeria's taxpayers money.

I should TELL you what to do and stop being pointless? You might as well ask me to come and feed you and wipe your nyash when you use the toilet

The goal of education is to activate your thinking faculties. If you don't know what you have to do in a situation like this, you might as well just go back home, cos the certificate would have been wasted on you anyway.

See as e easy for your mouth.

First of all I am an undergraduate, my time-table alone have no breathing space.

Secondly, take a look up and see that screen shot posted by one of my colleague, his school fees haven't been paid so they school will soon withdraw them.

Thirdly, I was issued 10 Hrs P/W working permit.

All your logic doesn't fall in place.

Guy get your fact right before you spill.

No fees has been paid for 2014/2015 session

what summer break are you talking about people started schooling by September.
trying to settle down in foreign environment. even if they start working immediately, which is almost impossible because you need to settle down and apply for an NI number, how much can they make with £6.5 per hour for 20 hours.

Talking about the job, getting a job isnt even easy, most establishment wont employ without experience, what experience does secondary school graduates from Nigeria havehuh

other than saying rubbish why not give words of encouragement or in the worse case scenario just say nothing

They have paid mine but haven't paid the my colleagues in other schools. (boykelex)

Students in Czech Republic had their studies terminated yesterday. If you want proof, I can tender them.

Allowance for rent and upkeep for 6 months haven't been paid and contacting RSSDA, they said they have no funds from the State Government.

I don't know how you can help voice our concern

Thanks

Whatever happened to Nigerians being referred to as survivors? If na Me I for don hustle and even send cars home and build a house in Nigeria. Do you know the amount of opportunities one can get in Canada?
Hey buddy it ain't as easy as u think especially if u'r on a student visa. There are a whole lot of restrictions particularly with regards to the number of hours u can work. I think as for the dude lamenting about unpaid allowances, he should focus on getting a part time job to at least cover for his rent and feeding then hope on the government to help out with the tuition cos its almost impossible to raise your tuition from working 20 hours.

Oh good then look for part time job while you wait for the payment.

You will survive on part time job pretty well, you can fit in 20hrs a week with your studies easily. Summer holiday is just a month away and you can work full time...i know its not easy but you wouldn't want to get depressed in the UK.

I know, but it's affecting majority of my colleagues in Hungary. They can't work there, most of them are have been ejected from their rented apartment and are living with their friends. They depend solely on their parents back home for survival. We in the UK, we can work but others can't.

I was issued with 10 hours working permit instead of 20 hours, although I work. But sincerely my exams are just few weeks from now and I need to put in more effort to get my desired grades
