I believe it more productive to think on how food can be abundant, education made cheap and affordable, power stability, rather than wasting the 20% of energy available in our brain to all this drawback hatred histories. We of this generations should put all this behind ourselves am sure its all this that destroys and continue destroying our past leaders. We should engage in creative argument on better way of improving health. Power and politics isn't the only way to make it .If Seun to is engrossed with all this hatred histories in Nigeria I believe he will be in depression mode and not able to crest this kind of platform. They claim the yorubas betrayed a southern solidarity. I really believe this has to be nipped in the bud before it fester into something uncontrollable. Our fellow southerners have to exercise the spirit of sportsmanship and move on. Hate comments won't get you anywhere as it has never done before.

You claim the yorubas are always betraying the southern solidarity just cos they refused to make GEJ win their region in 2015. If that's true, what will you call what Nnamdi azikiwe and his tribesmen did with tafawa balewa against an awolowo? what about the Ibo alliance with the north against thesame awolowo during the time of shagari and ekweme? Where was the southern solidarity then? The yorubas never whined about it, they just believed you did what was best for yourselves. You also claim they jilted GEJ when he needed the southern solidarity. I'll tell you that GE squandered the goodwill he was given on a platter of gold by not only the SE and SS, but also the SW who voted massively for him against a buhari who had one of their sons(tunde bakare) as running mate. Of course a lease hold must have term limit, but there are clauses in a document that makes a lease practically a perpetual (forever) lease.
Some leases have the "surrender" clause and some DON'T HAVE, though with reversionary interest accruing to the original land owners at the end of the expiration BUT without prejudice to the lesses exclusive control of ownership of the structure on the land. This means that at the end of the lease tenure, not only that it must be renewed, it has a clause that puts the property in lessee's perpetuity. Most lagos leases have no "surrender" clauses.

Again all the leases were not executed in one period of time which means for the next 500 years or more these "tenants" you despised will continue to be land owners wielding political clout. I hope "mayoroflagos" is reading. There will be Igbo law makers representing lagos for many centuries to come and with more new lands being bought every nanosecond in Lagos state even as am writing.
