Sometimes people take computers for demonic machines. Let's review some few terms that act as causative agents for this suspicion.
1. Daemon: A computer program that runs at the background, not visible on the interface and not under control of a user. Often started at boot time.
OBSERVATION: from dictionary.com it defines daemon as (a). a god.
(b). a subordinate diety, as the genius of a place or a person's attendant spirit.
2. SATAN: A free software vulnerability scanner for analyzing networked computers. It was at its peak of popularity in the 90s, development ceased in 2006.
OBSERVATION: Satan is not a strange name. we know who he is, why should the software posses same name as that, knowing what could be the reaction of people. funny enough there is a command in the software Named REPENT.
3. $666.66: Price of Apple-1 (the first computer produced by apple), released April 11, 1976. it was built by Steve Wozniak.
OBSERVATION: 666 is mentioned in the holy Bible as the number of the beast. was Apple trying to give their first fruit?

Are these coincidence or deliberate?

I'm willing to bet that the people that chose the words daemon/satan for those software and the 666.66 pricetag did them as a joke, playing on the fear of some christians.

If you believe that satanic influence is in every computer or in the internet, then stop using them. Simple.

im not surprised anyway. the god of this world satan is still ruling for now. we cant argue about his expoits in science. anyway if you are protected by the blood of the lamb, then technology will only be 4 ur advantage. i have no fears and no worries. the earth is the LORDS but the world is the devils. the EARTH and the World are different. the earth is the environment and the world is the set ups and system that governs it. this is what satan has. no worries. at all jesus is still in charge of the earth and the world.

Why is it hard to you to appreciate man's creative abilities and stop attributing everything to devil. It's not the devil who created man or his brain. And besides, why the hell would people be discussing devil on computer section. Abeg move over to the religious section.

American youths are busy using their minds to create and invent new things. Nigerian youths are busy looking for the devil everywhere. How can we progress. SMH.
