It has come to my knowledge that since goodluck jonathan lost the 2015 presidential election to muhammadu buhari majority of the northerners and westerners has seen it as an opportunity to deride the easterners and to cajole them to regret and feel pity for themselves for voting goodluck jonathan,i have observed that majority of the easterners are not regreting their action, let me speak for myself and leave the rest of the easterners to speak for themselves too,i didn't vote for buhari quite alright because i didn't believe he can bring the change he was talking about to reality, some of my home brothers didn't vote for gej because they didn't love how he is running the affairs of the nation while many didn't vote for neither gej nor gmb and also some chose to manage gej in place of gmb,now gmb has won i ask can he convince the easterners that he is truelly a change agent?,i pray he convince me,the rest of the easterners and the nation at large by making those changes effective, wish him well though |

The easterner don't need anyone to break a sweat convincing them. If they think he isn't the one, so be it. 15million plus voters think he is. |

No need. It is obvoious he can get enough bloc votes somewhere else to get elected. If he performs, They will vote for him in 2019 should he choose to contest |

You will be absolutely disappointed to hear that no single Nigerian president that operates under the 1999 Nigerian constitution can bring the accelerated positive change we desire in Nigeria. We are wasting our time. |

dont worry OP, GMB is gonna prove to ur brothers who voted for him that their votes were actually an effort to redeem Nigeria from those bent on ruining it for posterity..... and someday, those ur brothers are gonna smile and say "thank goodness i didnt let petty sentiment get over my patriotism" God bless every true patriot of this nation!!! |

galadima77:God bless you. People forget that at the end of the day we are all Nigerians and the president does not lead a section of Nigeria. I remember in 1999 the south west didn't vote Obasanjo, he even lost his own ward, my question is did anyone victimize Yorubas for voting the opposition? Since 1999 igbos have always voted PDP so how did anyone think they will vote otherwise in 2015. Even if igbos don't get senate president or speaker or any ministerial post, that only shows that Nigeria is not ready to develop, because to develop we need a government of national unity not government of ethnic sentiments. Remember APC used to be in opposition. |

omenka:Your candidate won and you are still yet to tone down your bigotry. My question is what would you have done if your candidate lost the elections. You spend all your day pouring hate and abuse on the Igbo people. Well some things will never change. |

galadima77:Thank you very much, they did not vote for him yet they expect more than they are getting from the present government. Some people allow unnecessary sentiment to cloud their judgment and yet they will be making louder noise than those that gave their all to make it work. |

munky:The world is facing a problem of rising temperatures. It is called global warming. Rising levels of CO2 is the driving force behind this. Humans breathe in oxygen and give out CO2. You can contribute your quota in reducing thee world's carbon footprint and by extension, her temperature. You know what to do. Kill yourself. That way the world's population would be one-fool-less contributing to global warming. Thanks. |

Easterners need no convincing. Whether they like it or not, Buhari is their President. If Buhari does well, in 2019, Buhari will be reelected whether easterners like it or not. They made their bed, they must lie on it. |

No matter how well he works for them they will still hate him. |
| Re: Can Buhari Convince The Easterners That He Is Truelly A Change Agent? by adanny01(m): 10:13am On Apr 08, 2015 |
Herald47:Calling me immature will not change any fact. My reasoning is based on facts. Even before the elections, i did a fact check by myself and i was sure Buhari was going to win. I only wondered why 95% of easterners either didn't check the facts or were simply blinded by ethnicity to see what was about to befall their allegiance. Now that they have no single returning senator or house of reps APC members to be considered for Senate president or speaker HOR is a fact that has nothing to do with my maturity. Have you heard of the adage that says 'monkey dey work baboon dey chop'. How can some one who refuses to work demand for food. What ever happens to the east is their own doing and their cross to carry. Call me immature from now till 2019 will not change a thing. Instead of name calling, next time just state your counter opinion. Thats how to act maturely, you seem to be more immature than me. |

Herald47:If you're waiting for Buhari to convince you to support him, you're wasting your time. Buhari will do his job and go, and you can keep waiting. He will allocate funds meant for development of your region, if your leaders decide to embezzle it, you can keep waiting. After-all, as head of state, he jailed corrupt leaders even from his own north west region, but your people turned it against him, feeding you with lies that he hated your people. The change starts from you. Start condemning your bad leaders who will stop at nothing to feed you lies after collecting money. It is very obvious the Jonathan's re-election was championed by igbos, insulting everyone else whose opinion differed. Even ijaws agreed jonathan had not done much, your brothers were the ones praising him for doing very little. What impression does that give others? At a time when everyone was clamoring for liberation from a corruption ridden government, it would've been better to tell Nigerians that you were voting Jonathan because you felt more secure under his government, than lying to yourselves that he was the best president |

Herald47:The funny thing about you is that deep inside you, it hurts that the election didnt go your way. If you continue to see the northerner as your opponent that does not help our dear country. I am a Christian northerner who voted for GEJ in 2011. I refused to vote him this time around not because he is from SS but because his leadership was below par. I voted Buhari not because i am sure he can bring change, i did because i am hopeful that he will be better than GEJ. For you, you have no hope in Buhari and am sure you wish he fails so you will tell the Northerners and westerners how they made a mistake. It is unfortunate that the same you who 'didn't believe he can bring the change' is expecting him to convince you. It is me who vote for him that needs to be convinced that i made the right choice. However, we are all Nigerians and Buhari will be a president for Nigerians not the North and West alone. The only difference is that while the North and West will captain the plane called Nigeria, the SS and SE will be passengers on the ride who needs no convincing. If they dont like it, they can jump out at 30,000feet. Thats the bitter truth. |
