Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” (Genesis 4:2b–7)
Elsewhere we read, “By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain” (Hebrews 11:4) and “[W]e should love one another, not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous” (1 John 3:11–12). On the other hand, Jesus called Abel righteous (Matthew 23:35 / Luke 11:51).

You identify three possible reasons why God may have “respected” Abel’s offering but not Cain’s: the difference in the type of offering; the difference in the quality of offering; or the difference in the heart of the offerer. Or, you suggest it may be a combination of those three reasons.

Thinking about it bro....Is God that gave both what they brought and how then will God in his Holiness castigate them for bringing unto him what he gave them in type and quality?..God is too Holy to do that.. Looking at the Faith they both have Faith as its faith that made them know its good to sacrifice to God.....should i then ask the question in this way ; what makes Abel offering more excellent than Cain's?

The main reason why Eve fail to overcome temptation was when Satan asked him "Has God said thou shall not eat the Fruit?" it requires yes or no,or still reply with a question but rather went on to be tellings stories till she said "Yee shall not eat of it,neither shall yee touch it, lest yee die" And from "lest yee die" satan picked his point up "You shall not die"

I asked a question which you had do well by anwering in all the spiritual knowledge and insight God has given you rather you prefer telling stories....

Well Abel gave his best while Cain looked out for his poor harvests nd gave..
Thus cain's sacriice was rejected bcous it did not come frm his heart.

This is where faith comes in as God searches the inner man (the spirit) for truth and sincerity of a believer.
