Now back to elections matters. - We take elections outlook for Lagos state and the chances the two main men (Agbaje and Ambode) has over each other.

Agbaje and Ambode

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State is not eligible to seek re-election in today's gubernatorial election in the state. And as his current and last regime comes to an end, the search to replace him amongst politicians is already at its summit with not less than twenty aspirants “jogging” to occupy the Alausa Governor’s Office in 2015.

During the Lagos gubernatorial election debates 2015, brilliant plans to make Lagos a better city were in abundance at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral in Ikeja venue for the debate, as aspirants vying to become the next governor put across their plans to the public.

Education, urban transportation, and several procedures for generating and sustaining economic gains for the state dominated the discussions. Though some of the contestants clearly showed that they have no understanding vying for the governorship position in Nigeria’s center for commerce, the overall performance surpassed previous debates.

The contestant relied on statistics from the government, World Bank and the United Nations to buttress their points. One thing was clear to the thrilled audience: Except for a few candidates, whoever emerges winner in the February 21 election, Lagos would be in good hands if the words said at the debates are matched with action.

PremiumTimes reports that Mr. Akinwumni Ambode of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was placed on the defensive most of the time and this affected his performance during the debate. However, he gave a good account of himself. With a boyish smile permanently stamped on his face, if he was worried by the attacks and taunts directed at him by the other contestants he did not show it. While he spent most of time explaining how he would make the policies of the incumbent administration better, he did not articulate so much of his own original ideas.
He said public service is a noble service and promised to bring the wealth of experience he had garnered from over 25 years of public service to running the state.

While Mr. Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) By miles was the star of the debate. He literally took other contestants to the cleaners with the masterful delivery, use of statistics and data from government and other international organisations. Unlike the raucous response some of the contestants elicited from the audience, any time Mr. Agbaje spoke, the audience stayed quiet.
He started by saying being a small scale business man himself, he knew what it takes to run a small scale enterprise and his government would give priority attention to SMEs in the state. (noted)

Final verdict, today's election in Lagos is a two horse race. AGBAJE and AMBODE are the two horses, other horses in the race are tired pretenders. Going by the scheme of things in Lagos; 1. Jimi Agbaje's brilliance at the debates, 2. President Jonathan concession of defeat and a saintly congratulatory message to President-Elect Buhari, 3. Oba Rilwan Akiolu saga. We can clearly see who is the winner of today's election.

Agbaje can go and drown in the lagoon and I'm sure his voters are going to join him there after Ambode is declared winner.

PDP SW GOVERNORS - FAILURES WITHOUT A LEGACY

FEDERAL - OBJ/GEJ PDP FAILED

OYO STATE - Akala PDP FAILED

OGUN STATE- Daniel PDP FAILED

EKITI STATE - Fayose PDP FAILED

EVERY PDP GOVERNOR HAVE FAILED WITHOUT A SINGLE LEGACY IN YORUBALAND ONLY FOR APC GOVERNOR TO START BUILDING THOSE STATES FROM SCRATCH EACH TIME THEY ARE REELECTED

MY QUESTION - IS PDP MEANT TO DESTROY WHILE APC IS TO BUILD

IF THAT IS SO WHY DO WE WANT PDP TO DESTROY LAGOS WITH JIMI AGBAJE ?

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ME PLEASE LIST JUST TWO LEGACY ACHIEVEMENT OF ANY PDP GOVERNOR IN THE SOUTHWEST

Aregbesola free meal is a legacy applauded by the world bank

Amosun flyover bridges and road construction is an uncommon legacy

Ajumobi / Fashola BRT buses & bridges are first of it's kind in Nigeria, to mention a few. What are PDP legacies in SW

JIMI AGBAJE SUPPORTERS AM WAITING. ALL FORMER PDP GOVERNORS ARE ALSO FACING CORRUPTION CHARGES ? I REBUKE PDP IN ITS ENTIRETY

and those two regions were responsible for BUHARI's victory. Lagosians takes governorship election more seriously than presidential; and this trend is evident in previous elections as regards voters turn-out in presidential election. Don't think what played out in the governorship election can play out again today.

when you and the other miscreant were here screaming "gej till 2019" , I'm sure none of you remembered there was/is God cos you spoke with authority like every power to make gej remain in power beyond 2015 rested upon you. Now you are the first to bring God into it. There is indeed humility in defeat and, you have shown that.

Whenever I want my wish to be done , I make sure I say 'by God's grace' cos I know I have no powers to make anything happen without God, unlike you guys who think you can talk like you are the creator of the universe and whatever it houses.

I'm not God and I can never be. I'm a servant of God.
