State Election Results: INEC Explains Collation Procedure by lalasticlala(mod): 11:27am On Apr 12, 2015
The Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Mr Kayode Idowu, says there is nothing unusual in the time it has taken for results of the Governorship and State Assembly election results to be announced.

Speaking to Channels Television on Sunday morning, he explained the process of collating the results and maintained that this cannot be truncated.

According to him, results from each Polling Unit will first be collated at the ward level and then sent to the Local Government level. This means that the Local Government would collate the results from all its wards.

The final stop would be the state capital where all results from the LGs will be collated and must be confirmed to have tallied. Only then can the result be made public.

Mr Idowu also responded to allegations of compromise made against INEC officials in some states. He said that INEC would be willing to discipline any of its officials found wanting.

On the commission’s plan regarding persons arrested for electoral offences during the elections on Saturday, he reiterated an earlier stance that INEC is not an agency that arrests as they can only prosecute based on investigation and reports provided by security agencies.

okay.

Meanwhile in

ABIA - PDP LOSING

RIVERS - PDP WINNING BUT COURT WOULD NULLIFY THE RESULT

DELTA - PDP LOSING MASSIVELY

IMO - PDP WINNING ONLY IN NAIRALAND grin

AKWAIBOM - PDP WINNING BUT MANY CASES OF REPORTED VIOLENCE. WOULD LIKELY BE ANNULED

ENUGU - PDP WINNING

EBONYI - PDP IN SLIGHT LEAD

PDP would lose more states in the SS/SE than they would retain.

APC breaks the jinx in the history of our
Nation...
First to unseat an incumbent president in
Nigeria

First to elect Female governor in Nigeria (Taraba)

First to re-elect a sitting governor in Oyo state

And you think the change we call for is mere
rhetorics?
This is a common sense revolution
PDP has been swept off by the wind of
CHANGE..

CHANGE IS INEVITABLE..

I also heard that Jimi Agbaje is leading the gubernatorial race in Aba, Orlu, Onitsha, Owerri and Enugu...
