How Do I Imbibe The Habit Of Reading? by eitsei(op):
I'm a currently a 200 level student in one of the Federal universities in south west and my CGPA is on 2:1 but the problem I have is reading/studying constantly before exam. it's bad to the extent that sometimes I might have not read a course before until a day to write it during exams though I still manage to scale through having good grades at the end
But the thing is I want to be enjoying reading like some people I see always reading because I have started doing courses that is deeply related to my course of study and I want to have thorough knowledge about them not just read to pass that I do most times....
what do u think I can do? your helpful opinions and suggestions are needed...... thanks

Well firstly, i don't think you meant to write 'inhibit'. When you inhibit something, it means you wanna stop it. I'll assume you wanted to write 'imbibe'... If so, here is my own little advice:
1. Have the right drive. By this i mean, have a target of what you wanna have in an exam, (do you know you can actually be better than 2:1?), have a vision of what you wanna become in your field. Just a graduate in the field of a thorough professional?... Your set vision will spur you to read more.
2. Reshuffle your friends... Birds of feathers flock together... If you keep people that reads, their character rubs on you and you join them in time although, you must abide with what suits you most but then, there're times that you'll need encouragement. These are the people that will drag you to library when laziness wanna crept in.
3. Have a target every semester, for every test exam, and practicals... I mean high expectations that is higher than your perceived ability...trust me, it works. I call it 'positive pressure...
.....my advice....

You're on 2:1 and you're misusing a word as simple as 'inhibit'?
