Even the Benin that set up Eleko (king of lagos island) title stated they met original peoples under regional kings which the Eleko is now the ceremonial head of since the regional kings call the shots of lagos regions.

These original kings snd their subjects were and are Yoruba - awori. Hence, it has alwaus been Yoruba populated, dominated and not contested by saner groups of the North, Middle Belt, SS. Only the innately greedy group covet it badly.

Sir Emeka, my sincerest apology. I did not realise you have become the son of the soil and through that marriage you have solidified your bond with our land.

This is the only route to legitimacy in any foreign land. May you prosper in the Lagos HoA but remember o!, your loyalty is to your adopted land now and I suspect that is where your children would grow up. You need to assist with passing the legislation that would stop the selling and transfer of our land to visitors from the East.

Liberalism huh. Do you think there weren't Yoruba candidates that PDP could have presented. The Igbo presence in Oshodi/Isolo made them to choose Mr Emeka. Then his marriage to a Yoruba helped him garner some votes from them.
Eko is Lagos, Lagos is Eko. So what is your point?
You should be more concerned about him delivering dividends of democracy to the people that voted him in, not some unnecessary name tag.
