At least five people have been killed and hundreds forced to flee their homes in one of South Africa’s worst outbreaks of xenophobic violence in years, authorities said on Tuesday.

Most of the recent unrest occurred in and around the coastal city of Durban, where police said two foreigners and three South Africans were killed.

The dead included a 14-year-old boy who was allegedly shot during looting on Monday night and died at a hospital, police colonel Jay Naicker said.

In this disturbing pic, a South African police officer is seen smiling at the camera while the body of a suspected foreigner, is gruesomely charred to death in the xenophobic attack.

Imagine! Just imagine! Even when you think South Africa is far ahead of the rest of Africa in terms of development and 'westernization' then all of a sudden you get to see this; pathetic I must say!
South Africa, a country that is supposed to be a model of some sort for the rest of Africa, suddenly gets to disappoint you on such a large scale. EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT!
You see why we're still this stagnant and backward in Africa? Because we all have the same mindset and or mentality; we are all still Africa and Africans after all: this is so much of the why the rest of the world never takes us too seriously, after all.
If South Africa, the country the rest of the world looks up to as the model for Africa (in terms of advancement, development and, westernisation) could do this, such barbaric and inhuman act, then I fear for the rest of Africa, especially West Africa, and more importantly, Nigeria! It's quite a shame! And all I can do right now is just, SMH!

Isis beheading, slaughtering, burning all sort of evil deeds one can think of, are they also Africans? Go to Burma in Asia and see how people's head are chopped off and cooked.. Maybe they are Africans. I am in no way defending what s/Africans did but labbeling Africans as animals is totally wrung. Because of the way other parts of the world detest a black man, they decided to pick on evrytin the black man does, an its so unfortunate that even we the Africans have accepted to be called animals. We have seen how Isis set ablaze a Jordanian pilot, how people are being murder and hang there heads on city gates but hardly u hear someone labelling them as animals. S/A, this is totally inhuman and may this be reciprocated to u in ten folds wen u go to other countries. *those that have hands in that*

I didn't say and I am not saying we, Africans, are animals please. I only said (and if you get my point correctly) that we, 'Africans,' shouldn't in any way tolerate this inhuman act. I condemn it just the same way I condemn the ISIS acts.
