ezeagu: Abeg, if they want to keep lagos, let them have it, but divide the country. We are wasting too much time as it is, getting no where. Wat is Lagos, will it feed the whole south west if Nigeria no longer exist? Wat is Abuja without Nigeria? Look, Ndiigbo will raise architects that will build modern edifice in our cities in the east. I am personally not scared of anything, i have seen the so called lagos and honestly, it is not even qualified to be classed as a ghetto with the exception of some standard houses in VI, Lekki and selected location. Let them keep it as long as we are no longer under the delusion/deception of one Nigeria to steal our resources and money that we invest in those places. Imagine the tax being collected alone in Lagos and wat that money can do in the east. 1 Like |

ezeagu: You are dense. Why has 'commerce' not made them the number one regional economy in Nigeria and the region adjudged to have the potential to have one of the fastest growing economy in the world if it were a Nation? The Pakistanis control the corner-shop 'commerce' in the UK yet what does that mean in the grand scheme of thing when 10,000 of them combined are not as rich as even one of the Candy brothers or employ, pay and empower as many Britons as Richard Branson or Philip Green does? You guys will never get it because of your penchant for bragging wildly due to you perpetual desire to compensate for the inferiority complex you suffer from. 13 Likes |

SirShymexx: It's very dubious to compare Nollywood to underground Hip-Hop when it's Nigeria's number one source of soft power. To deny that is to deny that Nigeria has any soft power at all. SirShymexx: So Igbo politicians who won in well-known majority Igbo areas of Lagos has nothing to do with the population? It's just a coincidence? If the Igbo are covetous, then I wonder what the guys who dubiously installed a vassal king in your land should be called. 1 Like |

Nnemuka:The Yorubas have been kept aside since 2010, can't you see how much Nigeria have grown? The Ibaka Sea Port, 2nd Niger Bridge have been completed. All our Federal roads are now 8-lane expressway and we now enjoy 24 hours power supply...Erm...yes! We've built 4 new refineries so we no longer have to import petroleun products and no more paying subsidy to dubious oil marketers. This happened because we kept the Yorubas aside in the last 6 years. I can see you're suffering from Orubebean syndrome. What you need is Jegamycin. Nonsense!!! 10 Likes |

ezeagu: This idea that Igbos 'control' commerce in Nigeria is yet another chest beating nonsense that bears no correlation to reality. If you say Igbos are dominant in trading, yes, one can let that pass. But 'commerce?' that's nonsense. Igbos do not control Nigerian economy. Fact. 4 Likes |

Obiagu1: So when did other Nigerians (Edos, Hausas, Igbiras etc) meet and tell you they're willing to fight alongside Igbos against Yorubas over Lagos. Nigerians, except Igbos, recognise Lagos as a Yoruba territory. If your people want to fight over Lagos, you're on your own. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Imagine this goat saying yorubas are superior and Igbos fear them...I laff in ijebu. Wonders shall never end! Listen, you can only try but you cant thwart our progress much as you try. Worst comes go worst, the whole country and everyone will suffer for it, and do not expect us to stop getting on your nerves anytime soon. ezeagu: Lmao @ Nigeria and soft power in the same sentence. What soft power does Nigeria have? You mean the same country that has about 70% of West African population, yet can't project any power whatsoever in the region - has soft power? Don't make me puke. Even Ghana is more of a regional power right now, than Nigeria is, in that region. Err, let's say Nigeria has some vacuous soft power - I'd put the music industry as the source. Not a Nollywood that promotes witchcraft, primitiveness, and utter poor production/scripts. Folks just watch Nollywood movies for comic relief - a stain on Nigeria's image. ![]() So Igbo politicians who won in well-known majority Igbo areas of Lagos has nothing to do with the population? It's just a coincidence? If the Igbo are covetous, then I wonder what the guys who dubiously installed a vassal king in your land should be called. Erm, a black MP won a parliament seat in area dominated by black people - how does that negate the fact that the black population in the UK is still a meagre 3%, and black folks are still inconsequential in the scheme of things? And what's the correlation between a throne acquired indirectly via warfare from a rebellious leader pre-Nigeria, and folks trying to claim other people's lands just because they are allowed to live and thrive there? 3 Likes |

edogirl2: It's through our votes. Non Yoruba population will soon overtake that of Yoruba in Lagos. It doesn't matter who it is, we will vote him in as governor just like we voted an Irhobo as House of Rep member. It must not be Igbo. Lagos MUST fall unless you cut down on your greed and witch hunting! |

Calculia: I certainly do not speak for others, but as a matter of public record, no one has heard Hausas or people of other backgrounds threatening to fight over Lagos. This is an entirely Igbo project, and good luck to them. But they should not try to co-opt others into their own machinations. 3 Likes |

Nnemuka: Being cave dwellers is 100% better than the underground dwellers of gully eroded land. No wonder descendants of Cain like you keep wandering over the surface of the earth, as cursed by God. They have infested our caves from their gully eroded underground abode. In search of greener pastures, better life and conditions of living. Tinubu looted and invested same in yorubaland creating employment, mentored people that are performing in various positions they are holding and was able to midwife the merger of political parties that defeated the biggest party in Africa. Show me any of your clueless and visionless leader that can lace his boot. None. Obviously insanity is endemic in your pathetic family. 6 Likes |

edogirl2: Don't mind the delusional and ignorant braggart. The problem for most of these guys is that they do not possess the capacity to work with reality. They are sentimental and self-delusional folks motivated almost entirely by a post-civil war lust for vengeance and 'getting even' with the Yorubas and others. This predisposes them to swallowing the 'supremacy' lies they are fed from the womb which has no basis in reality. The fact is that reality will shock these guys. Even Lagos they brag about it is Yorubas firmly and totally in control over major industry, property development, Banking and organised business while these sadists present us as "lazy and unambitious" folks "now dominated in their own land". The fact that Yorubas are secure in themselves and not predisposed to bragging has encouraged some to over-estimate their own worth and actual importance all for the sake of attempting to belittle the Yoruba ethnic group. Pathetic, childish and pitiful. I like factual examples so Nairalanders should indulge me using the link below to see how "lazy" and "unambitious" Yorubas are yet manage to dominate in technocratic leadership. I wonder what would happen if we are "driven supermen" like some people emptily brag to be day in and day out while others go about their business quietly and successfully. The whole thing is pitiful really. http://www.firstbanknigeria.com/about-us/the-leadership/executive-team/ 5 Likes |

Bottom line is I, and several others that I know who are not Yorubas simply find the idea of fighting over other people's land laughable.
