Now we are being re-educated on what exactly was said during the campaigns.

The impression given then was that Jonathan's government was the worst thing to happen to Nigeria. This new administration has come to power based on the promise of total change, all this talk of continuation (even though it's just on Nairaland for now) smacks of double standards and insincerity.

The campaigns are over and the election has been won, the reality of the situation is dawning on many people that's why there is now a covert attempt in reducing expectations that were purposely allowed to be bloated and looking at the outgoing administration's policies for any form of support.
The APC saying the present government is the worst in the history of Nigeria for me means he has performed but not in any way better than his predecessors and therefore doesn't deserve a second Chance.

Well you and I know that most of those chanting the songs of change today have contributed to the rot in governance in the country. Maybe the PDP didn't do enough to make that clear to the electorates.
I quite agree with you that Jonathan/PDP ran a terrible campaign otherwise they should have won!

We don enter dem Buhari/APC one chance till 2019 embarassed

Governance goes beyond partisanship.
You don't assume power based on the change mantra and yet build the foundation of your new government based on the changed government. Its a slap on the people who voted the new government into power.

Common sense is not common afterall.

my brother you are not alone, the chalatan and sychophants keep babbling about agricultural boost, yet we still import rice, sugar, tomato and a host of countless food items, there is nothing to continue from honathan, the only thing is cluelessness, i don't think buhari should continue with the policy of cluelessness.
*Let me clear my throat first*

Now to the matter at hand. And how many countries in the world have stopped the importation of food? Even the USA and Canada who are major producers of food are still importing Sugar, rice, tomatoes etc sad sad sad sad. Please, it is very clear that the Agriculture Sector flourished under President Goodluck Jonathan. Cheers.

if Buhari wants to succeed in his quest for change...he must be able to reflect and build upon the positive developments which Good luck started....an example is the free and fair election motive which even helped him (Buhari) to finally get into power after trying and failing three times...once again I congratulate my soon-to-be president G.M.B....and the current President G.E.J for conducting a successful and credible election...thanks peeps.

Perfect, the stage should be set for a completely new begining, never mind that by starting everything anew more waste will be generated.

The mature thing to do is to honestly identifiy and continue the initiatives that had already started delivering on their objectives. Anything else would be stupîd.

APC and its agents should not let pride and stubbornness prevent them from getting the help they so badly need.

Don't throw away the baby with the bath water.

#Eeeyah, you are really bitter supporter of President Jonathan.

Where were you when I started this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1025483/new-list-president-goodluck-jonathans-achievements
created from GEJ's acolytes's website post to promote his "achievements"?

Sorry that we rejected his failures. You should be glad we are acknowledging the little good he has done and want to build on it.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the fertilizer distribution process in the last four years has been sanitized by the weeding out of the bottlenecks. I felt farmers that keyed into the e-wallet system get their fertilizers without issues. Is this one you speak of controlled by the state or federal government?
I showed you one bottleneck in my comment above. That is the person controlling anything related to fertilizer whether it is electronic wallet or manual piggy bank.
Tell me how the e-wallet system is made easier for the rural dwellers.

Hmn. And what are the new 'Changes' that the APC/Buhari Government will be bringing to the table? Look all over Nigeria and see the various projects being worked on. How developed was the Nigerian economy under Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo who has now suddenly become a saint in the eyes of many people in Nigeria? And in Lagos State, how many policies of the APC Government are directly touching the masses and making a significant impact in their lives? Can we honestly score Fashola 60% in all he has done in Lagos State? I am saying this because I was in Lagos some months ago and I know what I saw there. I would have loved it if all those newly built housing estates in Lagos are rented out to low income earners in the State with options for them to pay their rent monthly. I would have loved it functional libraries were built in each Local Government of Lagos State. These Libraries should have internet access with about 20 Flat Screen computers in each of them. And the libraries should be stocked with the latest books and audio-visual aids which would help reduce the failure rate of WAEC/SSCE Candidates in the state. Cheers.

It's a four-year mandate.

Will you start removing thousands of kilometers transmission powerline already installed by Jonathan just to boost your EGO?

The same bad decisions they pushed Yaradua into that led to major policy reversals.

That the majority of Nigerians are not pleased with the performance of President Goodluck Jonathan in the last 4 years is not in doubt following his defeat at the polls.

However, he cannot have failed totally and must have made some positive impact in certain aspects of governance.

So, what policies of President Goodluck Jonathan would you like President-elect Muhammadu Buhari to maintain and build on for the benefit of Nigerians?

Electric Power sector Reforms
NIMC Identity management reforms
Electoral Reforms
Nigerian Industrial Master Plan
National Automotive Plan
Agriculture Reforms
Railway Reforms
etc
You don't need to list them. Ignore the idiots who said GEJ did not perform or that majority of Nigerians are not happy with GEJ.

Which majority? Underage voters? Time will tell. The position of INEC chairman is not reserved for the north forever.

GEJ is the best democratic president nigeria have had so far. It is now time for buahri to show himself. People think it's easy to perform. As it is now, Buhari is just confused talking from both sides of the mouth.

I am not apologetic for buahri to continue with any of GEJ policies because most of them are beyond his comprehension.

Right in this forum I told them that asset declaration is not sufficient and innovative to fight corruption. I am happy that Bukola Saraki their own voice has just said so too.

Buhari is from yesterday and not capable of handling advanced policies of today like GEJ did.

My advice is for him to remain with his stick and carrot method while the time ticks.

He should discard the high tariffs on importation of used vehicles, I see no quality reason for that,Nigeria MKT is big to contain both the car manufacturers and the used vehicles importers to compete,in as much govt leverage the manufacturers with low tax in all aspects of their productions even in duties paid while importing materials and equipments, thereby making their output to cheaper, while reduced tariffs on used vehicles will discourage smuggling and encourage high finance to govt purse, taking a cue from UAE,and secondly continue his agricultural policies, which has make a lot of agricultural items available, and thereby encouraging people to invest in fish farming, poultry, eggs production, animals farming, never like before.
