So far, Two Changes Buhari brought to Nigeria with his victory as president-elect:

First Change: Any serving soldier can rise and topple a democratic government, the soldier rules, retires and later come back through any means to ask for votes, and possibly win a presidential election.

Second Change: An elected government can be sacked with unleashing of violence against Nigeria, with the violent group openly declaring that its group is after sacking the president, even kidnap young Nigerians, and thus cow Nigerians into voting for known sympathizers and even suspected sponsors of the violent group.

The advanced world may be looking at Nigerians as a most backward lot.

So if it would take 100 years for Buhari to solve our problems nko? You think Nigerians will be gullible enough to wait that long?
Change is a process. As long as Nigerians can see that Buhari is performing well, we will be patient with him. If he shows the kind of performance that GEJ gave, then we will give him the GEJ treatment in 4 years time. That is what democracy is about.

We are not asking for magic, we are not asking for a miracle - we are asking for evidence of progress over time.

So, let's have this conversation again in 4 years time. In the meantime, I suggest you change your mindset and start working with other well meaning Nigerians to make things work, instead of secretly hoping that things won't work, because your preferred candiate lost.

[size=16pt]Is the OP or any of his type expecting an "overnight miracle"?

There is nothing strange in what the president-elect has said.

He has simply said "be patient with us, we will deliver". He hasn't said "the problems are too many, we cannot solve them".

I hope u have been in Nigeria all this while

Nairalanders, your president-elect obviously needs a head start. Please flood him with suggestions. First get rid of every govt official that has held any office in nigeria. Mr president-elect,go ahead and tackle the energy sector first. There is this inpenetrable cabal/force that has held this sector by the jugular for too long. Go after this guys, expose their crook books(one certain jagaban is most likely to be caught in the net, but who cares nigeria comes first) in public. Enact a law(dont allow it get to the national assembly as they cannot be trusted) that will sentence oil and gas pipeline vandals to 20 years imprisonment. Bring in international auditors to audit NNPC account books.Anyone in its cadre found culpable of corrupt practises should be marked for retrenchment (please no deliberate victimization in this process). The oil and gas sector needs serious administrative purging. Lets start with this.

Of course, we know you cannot perform magic!

But during campaigns, Grandpa, you talked as if you had some magic wand to solve ALL our problems with in the shortest possible time.

All the same, I pray You succeed! My love for development and progress is far greater than my dislike for you and your APC!!!

From the sidelines, everyone plays better than Messi!

Buhari u got to that position by propaganda, that propaganda u must accomplish.

Ur party instituted d culture of insulting a sitting president without respect to d office of d presidency, that culture must continue and no Jupiter will stop d amount of insult and vituperation u will receive from May 29th. No excuse will b entertained as ur party never believed in excuses.

I wish u well, But u can't escape d Media attacks doing press up already.

By the time the oil boys will works on the oil well, the first four years will be a waste. Rubbish. He is already confused. I have told Nigerians that Buhari and apc have disturbed sleep by ganging up against GEJ, a God sent for that matter. From now on, Nigerians will be face to face with total confusion. Nor that dead thing? He never see any thing. We are waiting for the first hundred days.
Mr man, GEJ is GONE. Nigerians were not happy with him. Deal with it and stop crying.

GMB will be more clueless than GEJ,I knew it.Advocates of change will seriously be disappointed.A president who has started asking for time even before assuming power won't deliver, typical of Nigeria politicians. They keep asking for time until their tenures expire without fulfilling their campaign promises,Buhari will not be an exemption.People should have this at the back of their minds and stop day dreaming.

Your own case is even more pathetic.

Reports are spreading about the obscene amounts of money spent in the re-election campaign by the PDP, running into figures well over 1tr. One would have thought that those of you e-warriors that are paid less than 20k to spread propaganda would be very upset at getting just crumbs, but here you are, soldering on!

May 29th, Change comes to Nigeria. That is all that matters
If I earn 20k as you postulated and term my service to humanity as propaganda, then I pity Nigerians Youth future. undecided

By the time APC scam clears from una eyes, you are already in the future.

No feedback required.

Thank you.

Who is we?

It is the same people who voted him in that will determine whether or not to vote him in again in 4 years. If he fails, he will be given the GEJ treatment. If he succeeds, he is coasting off to another 4 years.

Secondly, please don't compare a smart and strong Buhari with a weak and clueless GEJ. It is an insult to the general and all smart Nigerians.
