Newly-elected lawmakers in Ekiti State have warned legislators on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, not to set the state on fire before leaving office in June.

The lawmakers-elect, under the aegis of the Conference of Ekiti State Lawmakers-elect, said what the outgoing lawmakers should concern themselves with now should be stock-taking and preparation of their handing over notes and not waging relentless war against the state.

A statement issued on Sunday and signed by Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, Hon. Segun Adewumi and Adeniran Alagbada, they said: “Ekiti people by their votes on April 11 passed a vote of no confidence on the APC lawmakers.

“Having been rejected by the people, the APC lawmakers should be civil enough to allow peace to reign in the State.

“All these talks of impeachment of the governor today, impeachment of his deputy tomorrow is not the type of stories that we should be hearing from the APC lawmakers.

“Rather, they should be asking themselves how they lost the confidence of the people so much that none of them was reelected.

“It is therefore our plea to the outgoing APC lawmakers that they should use the remaining 42 days to seek forgiveness from Ekiti people that their government burdened with huge debt.

“They should bear it in their minds that Ekiti people are ready for them this time around. Any attempt to test the will of the people, using support from their Lagos based godfathers will be resisted by all means possible.”

Bliv me ,if fayose should be impeached as a punitive measure melted to him by APC law makers and their goons in lagos,Omirin will also be impeached within one month of assumption of office i bet u.
