Lol. My course is Economics. I don't know the cost of comprehensive Maths, bro, I use Project. But at worst, it shouldn't exceed 1.2k

Please, help me check if the below solution is correct. I am unsure.

Let the old food bill= x
the old qty of food = y
new food bill = x + 20%*x = 1.2x
new qty of food = y - 15%*y
= 0.85y
therefore the fractional increase in the food bill = 1.2x / 0.85y = 1.412

Let the food bill be x, food bill increase by 20% will be 1.2x let the quantity of food reduced be y, reduction by 15% will be 0.85. Total cost=xy, which is (1.2x)(0.85y) =1.02xy fractional increase in the food bill = 1.02xy- xy = 0.02= 1/50 @ umartins1 is a genius
