please my fellow nairalanders. am curious abt this. mostly all barbing salon u see around will have a speaker facing outside blasting music very loudly. I have noticed this in various towns and cities. and the little ones that doesn't have a speaker outside will be playing music inside shop wit full blast (as in very loud). why this?? Barbers in this house over to you. I jus wanna know.

There's none my dear, they're playing the music to attract customers and to enjoy themselves while cutting the hair. Nothing more.

It motivates them, it energizes them. Just imagine how boring their work will be if the were no music playing. But with music, their mind is always engaged. I don't know how to explain it real deep. Don't you listen to music when bored ?

Dis shouldn't be on NL haba.. common reasoning will definitely tell u d correlation between dis.
