Church is the body of Christ,simply put a group of persons who believe in Christ living within a geographical location pls compare Rev chapters 2&3.Church therefore is not a building where Christain meet however we basic reason while Christain meet together in a place of worship is recorded at Heb 10:24,25"“And let us consider* one another so as to incite* to love and fine works, 25 not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near.”

I go to Church for cleansing, the heart of man is dirty and full of evil. I am a sinner, I have soiled myself and I seek forgiveness. I go to Church to strengthen my faith and followership of God. I go to Church so as to understand better, the teachings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the light of this world.
That is why I go to Church.
