Rather than stamp-out corruption, President Obasanjo was alleged to be enmeshed in corrupt practices. The man that promised "No Sacred Cow" became the complete opposite of his own mantra. General Muhammadu Buhari

President-elect Muhammadu Buhari like Olusegun Obasanjo has this "incorruptible" tag attached to his name. He was part of the Obasanjo government as the Petroleum Minister between 1977 and 1979. Like Obasanjo, he has vowed to run transparent administration and fight corruption with "No sacred cows". He is said to be "relatively poor" though he has property in Kaduna and Abuja.As at November 2014, he said he only has about a million naira N1m in his account that he had to secure loan to purchase his N27m APC Presidential form.
Like Obasanjo, his election is seen as a "new era" with people having high hopes in him. He promised to give Nigerians stable electricity which he specifically said at his campaign rally in Calabar in January 2015. People had thought that Obasanjo would put all these people where they deserve by prosecuting them, but on the contrary Obasanjo ended up as being a part and parcel of these people.
