This recent threat by Gen Buhari is not only a clear violation of Nigeria Democratic principles but a direct attack on the press by extension on the voice of the people. If the freedom of the Press can no longer by guarantee as the early signs have shown in this incoming administration then Nigerians are in for a very seriuos time. We must all stand together with one voice and condemn this action by Gen Buhari because if we fail to condemn it today it will hunt us tomorrow. as he may even ban online social news groups. we are calling on the AIT, civil society groups, NGOs and the Nigeria Broadcasting Commision, Human Right Groups to drag Buhari to court immediately unless he retracts his threat and issue public apology to AIT and the Nigerian people-- Ifeduba ThankGod T ( political Analyst writes in from Anambra state) 1 Like |
