my 2001 clk kompressor wont raise fire...i travelled out of the state and when i came back i noticed when i start the car it wont give a steady idling rate ..the fire goes up and down never steady; when i apply the throttle it doest respond....it seems the throttle is dead.... please Benz gurus what went wrong and whats the solution....thanks |

Have you had the car diagnosed? Perhaps you should have your MIL on. So run a scan on the your computer box |

mayor2013:the technician is charging 15k for the scanning.....due to the non availability of scarce resources at a level of abundance  ...aint willing to drop 15k for a computer dude when i still dont know what its gonna cost me to effect repairs eventually.....i am desperately counting on nairaland gurus who have experienced such to assit.... |

royallord1:15k might be on the high side, but seriously if u go to a reputable shop then the amount they charge for scanning is not too far away, (around 10k). U need to invest in a hand scanner at least to pick up simple codes rather than paying someone to scan ur car every time. Some scanners are less than 10k and will pick some basic codes (though might not pick up more complex ones). And with 40k u can get a good scanner. Owning a car is far more than ability to drive it or buy fuel, it goes beyond that. |
