The outgoing President,his vice and other political office holders in his cabinet as well as d 77 legislators who are not returning to d hallowed chambers are to get a whooping sum of 3.24bn as severance package. Each of them will be going home with 300% of there annual basic salary. This reminds us of civil servants, teachers, lecturers who put in lots of years in service of the nation but go home with moderate gratuity at d end of service. Did this politicians serve better after enriching themselves with d public fund? God save my country |
