I suspect Edwin Clark University would just be Jonathan's covert university. I'm sure it is owned 100% by Jonathan.

Even with these 2 approvals, institutions in Nigeria are grossly inadequate. The US with a population of approx. 300m has 4,140 institutions of higher learning, and we have less than 100 universities with a population of approx. half of the USA. We need extra 4000 universities to get rid of our illiteracy level in this country.

It's best to approve these Universities before Buhari who values no education comes into power. And besides, these are private universities with ownership structures residing within the private sector, so I dont see why we cant raise the standards and provide alternatives to these ASUU infested government owned universities.

The ground breaking ceremony of the 88yr old Edwin Clark university was done sometime last year. My only qualms is that where would he be getting billions of naira to erect structures in that sch? Jonathan really milked dry this nation for his ijaw brothers.

On a more serious note, we need a serious rationalization program in our tertiary education sector.
All these mushroom outfits masquerading as universities negate real development in the sector.
We need to reduce these things drastically.
University funding is not like running a kiosk. Which clowns are approving these things?

Not true. Its solely owned by Clark. OBJ established his Bells Uni while in office as president, so who would Jonathan be scared of if he really want to established his own uni?
